Dakota Walked slowly through the crumbled pieces of bark, each step made a slight noise as the bark moved and crumbled Dakota lifted his head to look at the clearing it was a nice, although the floor was slightly damp. Dakota walked before needing to get under a fallen tree so he lowered his head trying to get under after a while he finally managed to get through. Dakota was on the look out for a femme the alphess of these lands to become a member but he wasn't sure where to find her So to continued to walk in the direction he had been heading all along.
Dakota stood listening to the crumble in the clouds the rain slowly began to fall 'Great, just my luck' Dakota thought, The rain only lasted for a short while before the sun made an appearance but his coat was water logged slightly so he gave a good shake to release the water from his lust coat which now looked like a large ball of cotton wool. Dakota said and began to lick his fur so it was normal again. Dakota continued to make his was through the burnt out forest. Dakota stood when his sensitive nose picked up a scent a strong scent which smelt like an alpha. Dakota walked steadily through the forest watching for any abnormal movements.
Dakota began to think he was walking in circles so instead of trying to seek out the alpha's he would make himself known on the lands so there wouldn't be such an issue of surprise. Dakota stood on a crumbling tree and let out a large howl, He howled twice making himself know he just hoped a large pack wouldn't come but from what he heard this was a small pack which kind ways. Dakota jumped of the dead tree and stood waiting for any sign of movement, Hoping it would be the alpha's and not any wild dogs or bears.

Padding through the burnt undergrowth, Kishi kept her eyes glued to the ground. Their was one thing she was looking for, one thing that had not been seen here for over a year now since the great fire. She remembered a time, when she was just a pup, when this very area was thick with lush greenery. The trees were tall and standing, and covered in large, bright green leaves. The floors were covered in thick bushes, and small mammels had lived here. It all looked different now though, since the forest fire had whiped everything out, nothing seemed to want to grow back.
She scuffed some burnings out of the way, in the hope to find new life growing underneath it, but nothing. That was when she heard something. It was distant, so she couldn't realy make it out at first, but then it sounded again, louder, and clearer this time. That was definatly the eerie but beautiful sound of a wolf howl. Her ears twitched as she began to make her way towards it. The howl hadn't been someone from her pack, otherwise she would have recognised it, and it wasn't someone from the other packs, because they would've kept quiet. It seemed their was an outsider on her lands. Kishi quickened her pace, heading straight towards where the howl had come from. By the sound of it, the wolf was quite far away, but was definatly in the burnouts.
Her tired legs carried her through the darkness, not stopping untill she finally met the scent. Nope, this wolf definatly didn't belong to the Xyla pack, nor any of the other packs as far as she could tell. It was a scent she had never smelt before. The further she walked, the stronger it got, untill finally her auds saw some movement up ahead. This wolf was a Brute, she could tell that much, and he stood with some pride, not seeming bothered by the light rain which had began to fall, nor the cold. Hello? She said loudly.

Dakota saw something heading towards him as the wolf stopped he could tell it was a fae with the words hello Dakota moved more towards the fae who held a dominate posture 'Hello, are you the alphess of these lands?' Dakota asked with hope although he acted as he usually did although another noise was heard by his delicate ears, His head turned to where the noise had came from he saw nothing other than shadows. Dakota didn't like the sound nor the shadows which he couldn't make out. Dakota turned back to the fae after the sound had stopped.
Dakota sat wrapping his tail around his paw which was starting to feel cold 'My name is Dakota, may I ask what your maybe?' He sat calmly showing he was no threat towards the pack neither the land, Dakota stopped on alert after hearing the noises and seeing the unfamiliar shadows. Dakota looked at the burnt forest 'what happened here?' Dakota looked around at the emptiness of the forest nothing lived here and there was no sign of life other than some scratches on the fallen tree trunks most likely off bear cubs. Dakota looked round to see a small bear cub making a warning sound, Dakota knew that the mother bear would soon arrive.
Dakota stood looking at the cub make more alarm calls to its mother 'I think we better move' he whispered just enough so the fae could hear him he began to slowly maneuver himself away from where he sat and slowly began to walk away it then slowly turned in to a jog before stopping again when he was out of the way of the cub and any mother which should show up. 'Few, Never thought bears would come here' Dakota sat once more rapping his tail around his paws keeping them warm.

As she walked towards the Brute, she could finally see what he looked like. He had thick fur, which looked very wet, which told Kishi that he probably hadn't been under shelter from on and off rain in the recent week. He had a dark stripe down his maw, and a large, fluffy tail.
'Hello, are you the alphess of these lands?' She heard him say lightly, before switching his gaze to a dark shadowy spot in the burnings. She looked over to where he was looking, but could see nothing of much interest, yet when she looked back at the Brute, he seemed to be staring at it with lots of enthusiasm. Kishi turned back to the shadowy spot, but still, couldn't see anything. Yes, i am Alphess of Xyla. Ususaly, Alpha females didn't exclaim themselves as Alphess', just Alphas, but it was the ones that didn't have a partner at their side that did.
'My name is Dakota, may I ask what your may be?' She hunched her shoulders up slightly as she sat to protect herself from the cold that had swept over the lands. Kishi up at the sky for a moment as a soft drizzle began to fall from it again. "My name is Kishi." She said with a warm smile. The Fae watched him take a look around, taking in the burnt greenery that still littered the ground. 'what happened here?' She took a look around, before answering. There was a huge fire, about a year ago, it burnt everything that lived here, but we don't know how it started. She told him truthfully. Their had been rumours of it being humans work, but that was impossible, humans hadn't been seen here for ages now, it was doubtful they even know about the Island anymore.
Suddenly a noise from the shadowed area made her jump as a small bear cub came out of it. Was this what he had been watching earlier. Kishi imediatly stood on all four legs, her ears flattened to her head. Why were the bears here? The only animal to venture into the burnouts were the wolves, bears had never set foot in it. Why was everything going wierd lately? Had mother nature lost it? She stared at the shadows with worry, everyone knew that when a cub made an entrance, the mother was not far behind, and wolves didn't stand a chance against bears, especially not ones with cubs. 'I think we better move' She heard Dakota wisper. Nodding her head in agreement, Kishi quietly began to make her way backwords, away from the bear cub. She followed the Brute as he broke into a swift jog, and didn't stop untill they were a fair distance away. 'Few, Never thought bears would come here' They don't, usually

Dakota's ears twitched to the sound of a mother bears roar 'I don't think she is to happy' Dakota smiled before shaking his coat getting rid of the excess water off and some landing on the fae near him 'Sorry' he smiled a little, Dakota wondered back to when the fae said 'fire' back on his island a fire ran most wolves off the land, Dakota shook his head to rid of the past thoughts. Dakota stood looking rather surprised when the fae mentioned that bears don't normally come here Dakota lifted his eyebrow 'could humans be driving them here?, I got drove off my island because of the humans returning'
Dakota was about to sit when another roar filled his ears, when he turned round he noticed a bear heading there way 'I think you better go, I will hold the bear back' Dakota growled and showed his teeth and most of his gum, he slowly made his way towards the bear growling hoping the bear would back off, He barked to try to scare the bear, He treaded carefully watching no sharp pieces of wood penetrated his paw, Dakota growled once more but the bear ran and charged the two wolves, Dakota shouted 'Run' Dakota slowly began to run he turned round to check the alphess was still with him.

Her ears flicked to attention as the sound of a large bear roaring filled the air. 'I dont think she is to happy.' Kishi smiled broadly at his words, but her smile faded as he shook water all over her. Instead of smiling, she found herself giving him a large, pup like grin as he said sorry. She felt like she was a pup again, playing with water. What was wrong with her? Grinning at him like that? She was suppost to be an Alphess for gods sake, she was suppost to show seriousness infront of newcomers, not her playful side.
'could humans be driving them here?, I got drove off my island because of the humans returning' The thought hadn't hit her before, but humans? That was impossible. Humans hadn't been seen here for years, not since Zenthas fathers father killed them all off. It wasn;t possible for humans to be back, was it? A pang of fear ran down her back at the thougt. Having Zentha around was bad enough, but humans? They could do alot more damage to the wolves, they even had the power to destroy the Island. Humans? Surely not? They haven't been seen here for years! Which Island-.
Her words were interupted by a defening roar coming from within the trees. She had been so worried about the thought of humans that she hadn't been paying attention to the bears! Kishi cursed herself as a large female bear came crashing through the dead forest.
'I think you better go, I will hold the bear back' And leave all the fun to him? That would just be shameful, these were her packlands afterall, she had the job of protecting them from threats. She watched him turn around and flash his teeth at the mother, before slowly making his way towards it in a threatening matter. This didn't seem to scare the bear though, because it charged at them, showing its teeth and slashing with its powerful claws. One swipe of them and they were in trouble. Run! But instead of running, Kishi stood by Dakotas side in attemped to scare it off.

Dakota looking strangely at the fae and most alphesses would have scattered at the sight of a female bear without cubs let alone with cubs, Dakota looked at the fae and gave a cheeky smile before snarling at the bear heading their way 'Ready for this?' Dakota smiled before running towards to bear, but as Dakota was about to pick up his speed he came to a Holt when he heard a large bang which sounded familiar. The bear scattered but Dakota looked at the femme and smiled 'well, that was easy' he laughed Dakota walked back over under a tree for some cover.
Dakota saw a muddy puddle which had formed from all the rain which was still falling, Dakota have a mischievous smile he swiftly moved his paw to splash the muddy water at the alphess before laughing 'Awfully sorry Kishi' He gave another cheeky smile, before standing in a playful stance 'oh, I meant to ask can I join your pack?' Dakota gave a playful growl before playfully nipping the alphesses tail, as Dakota went to playfully nip the alphesses fur he miss placed his paw and landed in the muddy pool below which splashed up everything in the way.
Dakota stood with a coat full of mud he gave a large shake again drenching everything in a muddy mess 'My apologises' he began to laugh, Dakota stood laughing wondering what the fae would do in return

Ready for this? She heard him ask as the huge bear made a run at them. "You bet." She said, before joining him at running at it. Their attack was interupted however, by a defening bang. Both Dakota and Kishi stopped suddeny, along with the bear, who scattered into the trees in fright. Kishi whorled her head round to face the direction that the noise had come from, but was releaved to see thier was nothing out of the ordanary there.
well, that was easy. Kishi could hear him laughing behind her, not seeming worried by the strange noises. It seemed as though they were completely normal to him. She eyed the direction that the bangs had come from for a minute, before turning her head back to Dakota. Questions wizzing through her mind. Are the bangs from the Island..? Are they a danger..? Are the rest of her pack safe..? Are her pups safe..? Her thoughts were stopped in their tracks however, when a wave of muddy water came and met her fur.
Awfully sorry Kishi. The Alphess turned around fully to face the wanderer fully, ready to ask him why he was here, when he spoke again. oh, I meant to ask can I join your pack? She thought about this for a minute. Strange way to get yourself accepted into a pack, splashing muddy water at the Alphess. The Fae had to stop herself from giggling at her thought. She stood herself up on all fours, and began to circle him, taking in his full appearance. She had seen him fight, sort of, well, seen him attack. He didn't hault to attack a threat, which was good, and he was protective. Two things all pack members needed. Yet she hadn't seen him hunt, but the way he had attacked that bear, padding up softly to it, careful not to tread on anything he didn't want t tread on. He showed some good qualities that hunters have. So that was that, their was no reason why he shouldn't join the pack, he would prove a help to it. I don't see why not. She said, smiling warmly.
The Brute was nipping at her tail, and she turned around to get him back, but he misplaced his paw, and fell into the large muddy puddle, drenching himself and the trees around him in water. Kishi fell about laughing at him, when another wave of muddied up water mat her. she shook her fur, before looking at Dakota, who was grinning playfully. OK, thats it. A suductive smile invaded over her maw as she walked up to him, keeping her eyes locked on his. Then the smile changed to an evil grin, as her eyes flicked down to the puddle, and her pawsplashed into it, sending a wave of water onto his face.

Dakota smiled as the fae excepted him in to her pack, Dakota was soon shocked when a splash of water headed towards his face, Dakota looking at the fae he ran up to her and began to mock bite her fur, and nudge her with his nose. 'wanna play' Dakota began to mock bite the fae more before jumping at her and knocking her over in to the muddy puddle, Dakota laughed at the fae fell in to the puddle he tried not to but it was to hard.
Dakota's stomach rumbled as he saw a herd of deer walk by he thought 'nice meal there' he looked at the fae 'be right back' Dakota looked at the heard there was four deer and all large bucks, Dakota slowly approached the heard his body low to the grown his paw tapping the ground without a noise. Each step he became closer to his meal, Dakota was going for the smallest of the bucks which would feed a large pack but the largest would have been to dangerous. Dakota was close to his target the deer bent down to graze so Dakota stole the chance and leaped at the deers throat he tightened his grip until the deer stopped breathing then he let go, while the deers head fell to the ground with a dull thud.
Dakota dragged the deer back over to the fae 'Are you hungry?, don't think I could eat this alone' He smiled at the fae. Dakota got kicked in the rib by the dead buck which began to hurt him, although it wasn't as powerful as it could have been it still hurt Dakota stood and knew it wasn't nothing serious. Dakota began to lick the oozing crimson liquid from the puncher marks in the dears throat. He looked up with his maw stained in crimson liquid 'is there any other members?, which could eat this' Dakota looked at the kill before being interrupted by the bear cub which was still calling for it's mother.
Dakota walked up to the bear up slowly and smelt it hadn't been with its mother, So Dakota barked to try and tempt the bear out he carefully bit the bear cub to give off an alarm call, he didn't bite the bear cub hard but it gave off the alarm call and the mother bear came raising through the trees, Dakota lowered his head to show he wasn't going to attack the couple but he pushed the cub towards it mother and they quickly walked off together, Dakota ran back over to the fae 'What is my rank within the pack?' he was quick to splash more water in the faes face, A grumble noise sounded but it wasn't from Dakota's stomach to had began to ran so Dakota dragged the kill under a tree so it didn't get wet and sat in the refreshing rain.

Kishi was suprised when she was knocked into the water. The Fae let a light laugh escape her maw, before standing up on all fours and shaking the water from her now muddy pelt. She raised her head to look at Dakota, who had spotted some Deer, which seemed to have gotten themselves lost in the dead forest. They were bucks, all four of them, and very large, except for one, which was slightly smaller, probably alot younger than the others. Next thing she knew, the Brute was heading towards them quietly, keeping his body low to the ground. Surely he wasn't going to go for them? They were way to powerful for a single wolf to overpower! Kishis eyes widened as he broke into a swift run, and lunged at the smallest of the Bucks, gripping its throut tight in his strong jaws. The other three Bucks scattered at the sight of him, but the smallest one couldn't move, it kicked at Dakota, hitting him in his chest as crimson liquid splattered the ground.
Once the Deers head had fallen limp, Dakota let it fall to the ground with a thud. He dragged the lifeless body over, where Kishi stood staring. She had never seen a wolf take on a buck alone before. Are you hungry?, don't think I could eat this alone. To think of it truthfully, Kishi wasn't at all hungry, infact, she couldn't eat another bite after her meal this morning. So she shook her head, and replied. No, you eat it, its your kill afterall.
'is there any other members?, which could eat this' Kishi thought about all of the other members of Xyla. Their was Her, Dakota, Fleeter, and Atia. Yes, two others. Fleeter, and Atia. And their was her pups, but they had eaten earlier, and couldn't possibly be hungry still, plus she still didn't know if she could trust this Brute fully, and young pups couldn't defend themselves against threats like adults could.
'What is my rank within the pack?' She had almost forgotten about ranks, at the moment he would have to be an ordinary member, until he proved himself to be anything higher. For now, you will be nothing more than a member, untill you prove to be anyting higher. she said, before notising the bear cub. Not again... the Fae thought to herself, as he walked up to it, and bit it softly. What are you- Her words were interupted however, as the mother came crashing throught the trees. Kishis eyes widened again, Dakota was right underneath her! Surely he was going to be killed. But the bear spared him, took her cub and walked away. Why hadn't Dakota just killed the bear cub there and then? It would have been one less bear to worry about in the future?
OOC ;; Atia hasn't been fully accepted into the pack yet, so if you were planning on meeting with her, then you would have to wait 'till she got accepted, and Fmisc, who plays Fleeter, hasn't been able to get onto the internet, so he wont be able to post

Dakota sat wondering about the other two wolves in the pack, but Dakota felt pride after braving going so close to a mother bear, Dakota gave a smile and Kishi 'So how come I spelt a brutes alpha smell?, do you have an alpha?' Dakota smiled but he didn't know what he was smiling at now other than the fae standing in front of him. Dakota lifted his head to smell the air nothing appealed to him the damp smell lingered in the air above the two wolves. Dakota stood tall and stretched before giving a slight yawn he had been up for two nights in a row.
Dakota sat by the fae 'so what other lands do you own?', Dakota wrapped his tail round his damp and cold paws. 'lately my paws are always cold' he slightly thought to himself. He heard a sudden noise which made his ears stand up on end when he heard a growl he thought another wolf had some but no a Dingo pack surrounded the two wolves. Dakota whispered 'I think these are after my kill, what do you want to do?' Dakota stood calm and took no notice of the ten or more Dingos which surrounded the wolves he had encountered them before on his island and knew they wouldn't attack unless provoked.
Dakota looked at the fae he felt relaxed although his ears stood on end like his fur.

'So how come I spelt a brutes alpha smell?, do you have an alpha?' At these words, terrible memories came flooding back to her, of her past leader and mate, Karn. She knew inside that she had to put his death to the back of her mind, and forget about it, but she just couldn't do it. To put all emotions behind her was just too hard. Sure, she would get over it sometime in the future, but for the time being, it didn't look as though that was close to happening. Kishi stayed silent for a couple of minutes, before answering quietly."This pack did have an Alpha once, not long ago infact, but sadly he passed away shortly after an accident." She had had mized feeling for Karn, even though he had been her mate. Sure, she had loved him, but since he told her about him falling for Senna, the Skyla Alphess, her feeling for him had changed to confusion.
The Fae turned her misted eyes to the sky for a moment, taking in the darkness. Wow, the weather had changed alot since her meeting with Dakota. For a start, it was now almost pitch black, and slightly difficult to see anything that wasn't realy close, and the storm had changed to mere clouds, blocking out the stars. 'so what other lands do you own?' "Well, their are four main areas that belong to the Xyla. Faumara Beach, Zestos River, Zestos Lake, and here, the burnouts." She said softly, eyeing the darkness, where a noise had just sounded. Kishi was just about to ask him what bought him here in the first place, when another noise came from within the surrounding trees, only alot closer than the last, and worryingly wolf like.
Suddenly, out of the blue, a large pack of dingos came trotting out of the trees, yapping annoyingly, and sending the odd bark at them. The canines surrounded the two wolves, testing on how close they could get without getting their heads bitten off. Practically playing hungrily. Although they seemed eager to get near the dead dear, they didn't seem keen on getting to close to the wolves. Kishi rolled her eyes, growling at one who had crossed the line and got slightly to close for her clomfort. 'I think these are after my kill, what do you want to do?' She snarled again at another dog, daring it to come any closer to the meal. "If your not going to eat it, may as well let them have it, we should get back to the pack anyway, so you can meet the others." She realy couldn't be bothered to get into a scrap at the moment, especialy not when she was this tired. All she wanted to do now, was get back to the den, make sure the pups were Ok, and then sleep, get back the energy she had lost today.
