Layla just awoke she had been awake the whloe time the wolves were talking, laylas heart dropped as she heard Kovu say he is leaving Layla was now around 8 months old she was angery with Senna and Kaija " How could the pair of you do this? " her eyes widened in shock she looked at Senna and Kaija giving them evil looks " Kaija ! any answers? " Layla was angery with him for destroying the pack she glared at senna " what did you let him go he loved you he is the best alpha I have ever known ".

Layla stood with her nose touching Kaija's " can't you do anything right " the fae shook her head and looked in the direction where the brute walked " Kaija cannot handle this pack senna what are you thinking" Layla ran off in the direction of the brute her head to the ground she tried to pick up a scent it was no good she couldn't smell anything other than a strange wolves scent so she when to check it out.

Layla is carried on in wanders ooo laylas getting bossy and wise.[/size]

The Brutes muscles tensed as the Fae leaned her head against his chest, but then relaxed after a little while. The enjoed the atmousphere for a small while, and then looked down to Senna, who was apolagizing for what had happened with Kovu. Kaija smiled at the Fae. Its OK He said gently.

The Brute looked over to the cave entrance as a movement caught his eye. It was Layla, the Brute had almost forgotten about the little Fae furing the recent action. He smiled at her, but was taken aback at her look. She was angry. The pup, or young wolf as she was now, was giving them the most evil look he had ever seen. Layla ... He was about to speek but was cut off by the she-wolfs words. The Brute winced at every thing she said, and when she said that he wouldn't be able to cope, Kaija knew she was probably right. He hadn't intended to become Alpha this way, but would give it his best shot.

[`Senna]

Senna looked up at him through relieved eyes, glad that he wasn't angry about it all. She heard a sudden movement, her ears perked up. Her eyes settled on Layla, an angry expression on her face. What was wrong now? When she heard her furious words, she sat there with her eyes narrowed. "Layla, I-" Once again, her words were cut off as that young fae ran off after Kovu. What did she mean he couldn't handle it? Then it suddenly struck her. Once a ranked member has been banished, died, or left, then the next highest position must take there place. Since Kaija was the next closest thing to alpha, she knew what she had to do. Facing Kaija, she gave him yet another apologetic look. "I'm sorry about that too..but now I have to tell you something." She warped her furry ivory tail around her legs as she began to speak again. She wasn't wuite too sure about what his response would be, but that was just the rules of the pack, and it had to be done. "..Since the position of alpha is open and must be filled by the next highest member.. You must take the place of Kovu, new alpha to the Skyla. She repeated the same speech that the past alpha had said to her before placing her in charge of the pack. She waited with patient eyes looking to Kaija, waiting for his response.

Layla walked back into the pack lands with the brutes scent covered her own scent still angery the fae sat by senna so she could smell the scent. Layla was determind to make alpha life hard for Kaija she knew Kaija couldn't control her. without a second thought Layla started an attack on Senna seeing how Kaija would handle it.

Layla dived on top of senna " rember who did this " her voice was cold she bit Senna's nose quite hard causing alot of blood she then bit her chest before walking back and biting Kaija's nose re-opening the wounds.

( Layla is going to start a fight and Kovu can stop it so Kaija can hurt Layla put he can't kill her ))

Kovu never left the packlands he watched as Layla acted up he was discusted at the young wolf, Kovu wouldn't of let her leave the lands alone anything could of happened Kovu knew Kaija wasn't yet ready to be an alpha of a evil, blood thirsty pack they were known as he could tell that Layla was going to act out with the way how she walked in. Kovu sat and watched as Layla attacked the both wolves Kovu wanted to put Layla in her place but he couldn't he was an outsider.

The outsider watched as the attack got worse he knew from gut instinct someone was going to get hurt badly. He ran in not thinking and he dragged Layla by her scruff and pushed her to the floor " Layla what are you doing? Behave I am warning you " Kovu's words were heartless he noticed the blood on all the wolves " is everyone ok?, Kaija be powerful with the pack so them your powerful like I know you can be you have a large responsbilty be wise " the brute looked back at Senna his eyes started to fill again.

Life was hard alone wondering wheather everyone is alright Kovu didn't hold a judge against the Wolves they couldn't do nothing about there feelings. He noticed Senna looked stressed he wanted to comfort her but Kaija was sitting next to her he waited the wolves reply before leaving the lands yet again.

(Plot idea! xD)

Senna drew back alittle as Layla clamped her still developing teeth onto her snout. She loosened a mumbled bark, surprised that she would even do that to her. Once she got off her, she lept for Kija. A growl was emitted from her chest. What was she doing? Behaving infront of alpha's like that? She thought she taught her better than that, but apparently her feisty side couldn't be tamed so easily. She was about to show her her place, when Kovu arrived and pushed her to the ground. She looked up at him, only to meet tear-filled eyes again. She wasn't the type to be sympathic or pity anyone, but she had alittle pity for the depressed brute.

The ebonite wolfess licked her snout, alittle tender in some spots, but it would eventually heal up. "I'm fine, thanks." Sudden, her nose became filled with a toxic, scent. Was was it? It was so strong, no dought from a male wolf, but it wasn't from the two brutes with her now. She twitched her nose at Layla. The scent was even stronger coming off her, but why? It wasn't like she was involved- Senna's eyes began to widen. No.. Her memory stirred, that was the brute's secnt from the beach.. and it was on her. Her lobes pinned back against her head and she sent a death-stare straight at Layla. She was involved.. with the likes of that ignorant brute? Let alone it be an outsider! "You.." Her voice was almost drowned out from the low, rumbling snarl that slithered between her jaws.

The alphess quickly rose to her feet, her fur now standing up on end, towering over the pup. It took alot to piss Senna off, but to betray her, that, was a whole different story. Most times, if you lose her trust, you can never regain it. "I've had quite anough of your ignorance, Layla. I've handled it for awhile now, but this..This just takes it, now doesn't it?" She barked in her face with disgust. Now, her Skyla side was coming out. Not the best side to get on. "You went behind my back, with that mutt that came around.. You didn't even know him, did you?" Senna's snarl's became more and more vicious as she peeled back her lips to reveal her fangs. She was much too young to be flaunting around with an outsider, but what if she had pups? There was no guareente that he would care for them, not that she would let him even come into her land. The alphess hoovered dangerously close to the pups face, her eyes narrwoed. "How about this..You can stay here with the Skyla and serve punishment.. or be banished from this pack for good so you can flirt all you want with that brute? Your choice." She moved back slightly, sitting onto her haunches and letting her threatening growls settle, but her eyes still showed the feirocity and anger as before. Kovu probly wouldn't be too happy, but she knew that he knew she was misbehaving, and the Skyla doesn't tolerate it.

Kovu growled at the pup for her behaviour he knew senna was angery he could carm her down but he didn't know how she was going to react Kovu noticed Kaija leave senna to go into the den Kovu walked over and glared at the pup in discus " Layla why? Senna is right he is a no good mutt " the brute shook his head in disbelive he saw that Kaija was losing grip of the pack he had two outsiders on his lands well maybe three with Kovu but it was his choice to leave.

Kovu looked at Senna " You have always been good and keeping wolves in line one of the first things I noticed about you " the brute gave a small smile he was waiting to see how the fae would react he had the erge to lick her muzzle but knew it would be right but even so he did so, the feeling of his touge touching her made him feel fuzzy inside.

Kovu watched as Layla stood she studdenly burst out crying, Kovu noticed Kaija watching so he moved back a little but after he had gone he moved forward a little he placed his paw on her paw lightly he remembered thats the first thing he did when they first went out. he hoped her would fall for him again if possible who knew " Remember out first date on Petra falls watching the sun set " the brute smiled.

(time to turn around the plot katie: Kaija has got to give up his postion because he cannot cope and then Senna will then invite Kovu be let into the pack and Layla will be in great trouble )

A strange scent had filled the air. The Brute turned his head as Layla walked out of the forest. The scent grew stronger as she approached. That scent ... why did he recognise it? He had smelt it before, but couldn't quite put a paw on where from. Perhaps it had lingered in the packlands before, but why was it coming so strongly off of Layla.

He watched her walk towards them, Kaija hoped that she had calmed down, but according to her facial expressions, she hadn't. The young she-wolves eyes where full of loathing and revenge, making Kaija shiver. He was going to say something, but then all of a sudden, she jumped at Senna, biting her neck. The Brute got ready to lunge at the Fae, but she turned on him, biting his muzzle, and re-opening his wound. He half yelped half barked, trying to nock her off. Another scent filled the air as Kovu ran out of the trees, jumping at Layla and dragging her off.

Kaija nodded at the Brute, and walked over to Senna, licking her muzzle as a sign of affection You ok? Realising that she needed some time alone with Kovu, he glanced back at her, and padded into the cave.

Muse: very low!

[`Senna]

Senna sat attentively, only to recieve no answer yet. She might have come off harsh and bitter, but she was an alphess, and she couldn't let her pack members thinking that they could walk over her. That was not happening. She turned her head to face Kaija as he licked her muzzle. After all that, he still seemed to return his affection for her, not even Kovu showing up phased him. She returned him with a lick to his head and smiled warmly. She was growing more and more to liking him, untill Kovu moved by her side and licked her. Her ebonite lobes flicked back. She was still alittle mad at him for just leaving her. If he loved her so much as he was showing, then why would he drop his rank and roam the lands without her? She turned her glance back at Kaija, who walked outside the cave. There was no turning back now, she eventually had to speak with Kovu.

Senna kept her gaze to the entrance of the cave, trying to avoid Kovu's eyes. Then she felt his paw creep up onto hers, her gaze quickly retreated to him. So much for not looking at him. "Yes, I do remember," Was all she could say, and she returned her eyes back to the opening of the cave. She felt like an idiot for being so silent to her former mate, but what about Kaija? She still had something for him, and she couldn't help but feel that Kovu was trying to win her back again. The wolfess' ears flattened in slight annoyance. Who was she supposed to like? She still had some feelings towards Kovu, but she's known Kaija far longer than him and liked him alot. She couldn't have two of them, that was for sure. Senna was obviously torn between the two brutes, undecided for a decision. She would just have to wait and find out.

Kovu noticed Senna didn't understand why he left her " I left you as I noticed you liked Kaija and I want you to be happy " the brute found it hard to say it to Senna, it felt like they were strangers Layla had now moved not wanting to be in the way Kovu noticed that Senna wasn't looking at him he felt alone he saw Kaija walk deeper in to the cave. Kovu sat beside Senna " All I want to know who do you want? be honest " Kovu looked at Senna with an honest face trying to get an honest answer out of her.

Kovu wanted senna to talk to him " Senna we aren't strangers we used to be mates " the brute couldn't bare to look at the back of senna's head without thinking he pushed her over and quickly stood on her their faces meeting at the nose he let out a quite laugh trying to get senna to relax around him he was mock biting her he knew she would mock bite him back she couldn't reslist.

Kaija padded out of the cave slowly, to see Kovu and Senna talking, yes, he had decided to let them speek to each other, but he couldn't help but come and supervise things from a distance. He sat down on his hind legs, and survaid the two wolves. All seemed to be going OK in his oppinion, so he trotted back inside.

After about five minutes, he padded back to the cave entrance to take another look. The two wolves were on their feet now, and Kaija could just make out the tears in the Brutes eyes. He watched as Kovu took a playful way of things, He pushed the Fae over and mock bit her, clearly un aware of him watching. Kaija knew that they were still mates, until they broke up officialy, but he couldn't help but amit a warning growl to the Brute, his feeling for Senna getting the better of him. He watched Kovu jump, and then look back at Senna.

His thoughts turned back to Layla for a minute, but his eyes still watching Kovu. The Brute that she was now involved with would no doubt come back for her, and that would cause trouble; Senna would not tolwerate it with the pup being so young. He still couldn't think of where he had smelt that scent before, yet it was so obvious, on the tip of his tongue.

[`Senna]

The ivory wolfess looked up to the questioning brute. How could she give an honest answer if she didn't even know herself? It was a triangle, loving two brutes at once. Even worse, she didn't know who she loved the most. Senna gaze fell to her paws, staring blankly at them. "I don't know," She mumbled, keeping her head lowered. It's not like she could have said one of their names, she knew it would be a straight up lie. As much as she liked lying to other wolves, the wolves in her pack always get the truth from her.

As she listened to his next statment, she was about to utter something when she felt herself being pushed to the ground. She let out a surprised bark. She didn't expect him to come nose to nose with her laying flat on her back. Her left aud piveted to the side to her Kaija growling. She looked at him, unsure of what to say, which was no surprise. As for the feeling of Kovu nipping playfully at her fur, her eyes remained fixed on her beta. She didn't even have the urge to play back with Kovu. Senna slipped out from underneath him, taking a few steps towards the entrance of the cave and sitting upon her dainty mitts. She just couldn't talk to her former mate without feeling ackward.

Watching Senna alip from underneath the Brute, Kaija saw Kovu begin to tremble, with anger or Sadness, he did not know. He listened hard, to hear Kovu asking the Alphess who she liked best, her answer sent a pang of happiness to his chest, but also a pang of hurt, he though she would have said him. He could see that she didn't know, but she had time to think of an answer.

Kaija walked over to the two wolves, keeping his cold glare upon Kovu. He emitted another low growl, and stood next to Senna. He watched the Alpha male, unsure what the Brute was going to do. If a fight was coming, then he was ready for it, and would give all his effort in staying with the Fae. He could tell that she was stuck between the two Brutes, but Kaija swept that though aside, to many good times ahead to let that deter him.

All the growing hate of the Brute bubbled up inside him, all the anger that had grown there. When Kovu had threatened him, the countless times that that had happened, sheer anger had appeared, but the Brute had bottled that up inside of him, not wanting to attack the Alpha. But now things were different.

Kovu felt the alphess slip from underneath him, he was shocked and his face puzzled he wanted exceptance by the femme in to her life, but it looked like he just gave up the best thing of his life all for Kaija. Kovu was angery he saw Kaija come over to the two wolves. Kovu looked at Senna his eyes showed his broken heart but he knew he tried but Senna had choosen who she wanted. Kovu gave a cold stare at Kaija wanting a fight but he didn't want to start a fight.

As Kaija's growl ran through Kovu's ears they twiched he looked at Senna hoping every second she would change her mind, but he knew she could be stubborn like him, Kovu wanted to kill Kaija right there on the spot but knew it wasn't a way to get Senna to love him. Kovu walked in to the cave pushing Kaija to the side on his way in, Kovu's eyes was filled with anger if Kaija tried anything he would be sorry.

Kovu knew Senna wouldn't let Kaija try to fight Kovu when he was so angery, Kovu paced round the cave trashing the den he made for Senna. Kovu went on a rampage destroying everything in his path, After he finished destroying inside the cave he filled the small hole with mud and foliage he then turned round facing Kaija " I would like to see you do something like this " Kovu was ready to rip out the brutes throat.

Kovu circled the brute checking him out from all angles he saw he hadn't grown much stronger, Kovu turned to face Layla who was sitting outside the cave his face looked discusted at the fae still he looked at Senna then turned to Kaija slowly moveing forward Kovu forced the male back until he hit a pile of mud " What are you going to do now? " Kovu let out a large growl.

Kovu stood infront of Kaija there cold noses touching there cold orbs glaring at each other Kovu watched to see what the new alpha would do.

Kaija watched with his head lowered, but not in a sad way, as Kovu's anger was finally revieled. The Brute pushed Kaija aside and stormed into the cave, trampeling on the den and messing things up. The Beta watched in amusement at the Brutes reaction. If this was him trying to get at Kaija, then he was going to have to try harder.

The Brute let out a rumble from the back of his throat as he was backed up onto a pile of hard mud. Ouch ... His hind legs hit against the hard formation, sending them into an aukward position. Kaija stood back up, and growled at Kovu as they stood nose to nose. He could see the murder in the Wolfs eyes. If he wants to fight, then let him, i feel like hurting somebody... He could feel is Skyla side emerging with his bad mood, this was not going to be pretty.

What are you going to do now?

Kaija smirked at his remark. Nothing, thats what. How was the Brute going to handle him not retaliating to his snide comment?
