Zentha;; Snow fell slowly from the gray clouds over head. The ground was layered in the fluffy white substance, blanketing pretty much everything else the clouds could reach. If there wasn't such a brisk wind, the snow would be much lighter, though the breeze made it difficult to see as it wiped snow in ever which direction. Thankfully, for a mere minute or so the wind would seize and it would be possible to see the somewhat empty space blanketed in cold fluff. Though an unusual lump stood out from the rest of the somewhat flat snow, and bits of black and brown ruffled color could be seen if you looked just close enough.
The bump in the snow finally moved, and more fur could be seen. But the moment Zentha emerged his brown, black, gray and white pelt was being tousled in the breeze. Two black eyes narrowed in the falling snow, staring ahead at nothing in particular. For any that looked it was obvious at his tensed posture and angered eyes he was annoyed with something, but besides the small snow storm there was really nothing to be a nuisance. It was just the fact that he was here, and not in his rightful place; Skyla's pack lands.
Plans were being tossed and remade in his head almost every second of every day, but none seemed to work just perfectly. He needed something foolproof to help him claim his rightful spot as alpha. The chance of just barging into the pack lands and fighting the alpha had been an option for a few seconds, before he realized all of the risk that was, with the rest of the pack with him. Normally he would've thought of the risk as another positive trait, but he couldn't chance his death.
He lifted a paw and planted it in front of him, sinking a couple inches into the snow, before another step went forward also. In seconds he was sprinting lightly threw the snow as cold air bristled his fur around. He sniffed at the air uselessly, knowing nothing would come of it. He had injured his nose whilst battling his father, and ever since the sense was futile. It didn't matter though. If anyone foolish enough bumped into him, he'd be sure to rid them of their life and make sure they didn't spread the word of his presence on the island. Most thought of him to be a myth, and he intended to keep it that way for as long as necessary.

Placing one paw infront of another, Niyah padded slowly through the thick snow. Or rather, dragged herself. The white stuff that covered the ground was so thick after the latest fall that she was struggling to keep her legs from submergin up to her knees. She was quite small for her age though, so that didn't help.
She bent her head to fight against the raging wind that was threatening another snow storm, Niyah had been at the Barren Lands a couple of days ago, and the weather there was incredibly different. The soft wind had been warm, not freezing. And the floor had been covered in, well, nothing, other than dry, hard mud, not deep snow. This annoyed Niyah deeply, as she tried to come up with an answer of why the weather was so different here, but failed. She squinted her eyes to try and see further into the distance, but nothing but flying white droplets could be seen. She lifted her maw as a scent met her nose. The Fae had not smelt this strange scent before, so she readied herself incase of attack.

Zentha;; He continued to race through the thick snow, although his pace was slower than usual due to how hard it was to run in such a broad substance. Continuing to leave paw prints in the falling snow, he peered in hopes to see anything up ahead. Normally he wouldn't mind the weather like this, but it made it so much easier for him to bump into someone unprepared. His pelt was quite noticeable in the pure white downfall, and if another wolf were to be near him it would be impossible to smell them. But he kept his ears strait up, in hopes to catch any faint sounds; try as he must the only thing he caught was the echo of wind howling through the air.
Finally he came to a halt, and as he did so his paws sunk back into the snow before touching ground. It wasn't too deep, but it was also difficult to move in. It was obvious he'd need to relocate soon, to somewhere better to his senses. The moment he came to a stop a distant sound alerted him. Whenever the wind chose to seize for few seconds and stop its painful cries he noticed a crunching sound nearby. His dark orbs glanced down to his feet. Nope, they weren't moving. But something was. Maybe prey? Food? Almost in acceptance his stomach whined with hunger. It had been a couple days before he had last eaten, always trying to stay incognito and cover his tracks. But with the storm, maybe it would be a little easier to hunt.
With the thought of delicious food filling him up he was off again, trying his hardest to pump his legs in the direction in which he had heard the footsteps on snow. The moment he came close enough to see a faint object in the distance his legs came to an abrupt stop almost causing him to fall forward. He managed to steady himself and he locked his gaze forward in the direction of the wolf-like shadow far off in the snow. Maybe a fight was just what he needed to get his mind back on track. He was sure he had enough experience in that department, but would it kill to be even more ready for his fight with Skyla? Food would just have to wait a little longer...
His ears flattened to his cold and wet fur as he stalked towards the figure. His belly was pretty much brushing against the snow as he pushed through it. As soon as he go close enough though, it was easy to see that the wolf was Fae. As soon as he noticed that a playful, yet mischievous smile danced across his muzzle.

Niyah padded through the thick snow, but to where she did not know, apart from the fact that she was hoping for somewhere more, well, sheltered. Keeping her ears and eyes alert for the faintest sign of movement or sound. But it was impossible, the roar of the wind blocked out everything else, and to be able to see through this blizzard would be a miracle.
Keeping her head bent low against the icey wind, Niyah walked on, shivering slightly. Oh what she would give to be in the warmth right now, even trespassing on the packlands would surly be safer than staying in these cold conditions for any longer. Your a wolf forgods sake, not a kitten, start acting like one! Blocking out the cold was easier than she had thought, perhaps she had the blood of an Arctic Wolf, somewhere in her family tree? ...
Being lost in her own thoughts was not a good idea, especialy not in this weather, when it was impossible to tell if anyone was nearby, so she soon remembered the scent she had caught not long ago. It seemed to have drifted away with the wind, but the Fae would get a wiff of it every now and then. Niyah lifted her head as she caught it again, but this time it was stronger, much stronger, as though the wolf was very close by. The Fae froze, and imedietly lowered her head in a threatening manner, squinting into the shadowed land around her. Her ears flicked to any noise around her, making her jump slightly.

Zentha;; Zentha just stood there, frozen in place and only paying attention to the slowly moving femme. Snow began to collect on his pelt, but there was no point in shaking it off.; for the moment he did more snow would just take its place. He waited, he had decided to let her notice him first before making any sudden appearances. We wouldn't want to scare the poor girl, now would we? A small chuckle escaped him, and his roguish smile grew larger. But it didn't take much longer of just standing there before the fae in the distance finally stopped. She must've caught the sent him.
He stood there, watching her closely for a second, trying to see any more about her. She was to far away, though. He needed to get closer to see any more…Ugh, stupid snowstorm. So he was off again, trudging threw the touch snow and moving closer to the femme. Once he got in a good enough hearing range, he spoke out. “Don’t worry, precious, I’m not going to hurt you.” Much.He added on mentally, and bit his tongue to hold back another chuckle.
He slinked on further, and as he did so he finally got a decent look at her. She was utterly breath-taking. Even in the large snowstorm it was easy to see the petit fae’s pelt, which was a wonderful array of browns, white and black. He took one more step forward before stopping in the snow. He let his eyes wander, examining every aspect of the beauty that stood before him. “Do you have a name, beautiful?”

Niyah flicked her orbs from place to place, trying to see where, and who, the scent was coming from. Her ears twiched as the sound of footsteps echoes out through the snow. The wolf was close, otherwise she wouldn't be able to hear them. 'Dont worry, precious, i'm not going to hurt you.' The voice made her jump slightly, she had been trying so hard to hear something, that the actual sound of a voice was unexpected. Niyah turned her head to where the voice was coming from, to see a Brute emerging through the snow. She watched him closely, he had a dark brown stripe down the middle of his maw, which she couldn't help but notice through the whiteness of their surroundings.
Niyah didn't smile, she had learn't not to trust Brutes long ago, especially at this time of the year. Early spring ... not a good time to be wandering around by herself. The Fae watched him walk closer, and then stop again. She could tell he was watching her, and she didn't like it. She did not like the fact that their was a wolf near her, that was bigger, and stronger looking than her, and that she couldn't see them properly, had no way to tell whether they were getting ready to attack her or not, so she was just going to have to go with the Brutes words. He would not harm her.
'Do you have a name, beautiful?' Niyah watched the Brute, or what she could see of him. Examaning the shape that was the wolf. "Niyah. And you?"
Muse; Not good =[

Zentha;; His smile grew as he caught her reaction to his first words. She had jumped, aparently not noticing how close they actually were before. He didn't blame her though, the snowstorm made it quite impossible to see much of the scenery around. It was easier for Zentha because the moment he had lost his sense of smell he had to fall back and rely on his eyes and ears, making them more powerful than most. It was more of a blessing than a curse that his father had taken the pleasure of smell from him, but the thought that others had that gift and he did not still disturbed and upset him.
Her beautiful voice overpowered the winds howls and he awed at her lovely name Niyah. Niyah, Niyah, Niyah. He repeated the name several times in his head, it was unfamiliar but he adored the sound of it. It had distracted him for a few seconds before he remembered she had questioned him. But he wasn't sure whether or not it would be smart to answer her question. Afterall there was a fifty, fifty chance that she could know him, whether it be from stories she overheard or just knowledge of the past.
"Zentha." For some odd reason he found his name rolling off his tongue. Why he had answered with the truth was beyound him, yet he couldn't stop himself at the time. Oh well, maybe it was just because he hadn't had contact with other wolves for awhile, let alone a cute femme.
He moved forward again, pushing threw the snow and closer towards the fae, though he took a turn slowly beginning to circle her curiously once he got close enough. "I should warn you, Niyah, you shouldn't travel alone in weather like this. If you weren't aware its spring and I would hate if a poor lovely fae like yourself got taken advantage of by a heartless brute."

Niyah watched the Brute walk closer, she was able to see him properly now, able to notice how powerful, and strong he looked. The Fae saw the wolf stop not far away from her, and tell his name. Zentha. Zentha? Zentha, where had she heard that name before? It was right at the tip of her tongue, yet she just couldn't remember where or who she had heard it from. Niyah narrowed her eyes slightly, it was bugging her now. Zentha. The name rang a bell in her head. She looked at the Brute, nope, not one bit of him seemed familiar, yet his name stuck in her head, as if she had known him for all her life.
Niyah watched as he began to move towards her more, she took a step back, before realising that he had stopped moving forward. He was now moving in a circle around her, great. Well, this didn't make her feel any better around him either, so she took another step away. I should warn you, Niyah, you shouldn't travel alone in weather like this. If you weren't aware its spring and I would hate if a poor lovely fae like yourself got taken advantage of by a heartless brute. This comment struck her as odd. She couldn't work out why a wolf would warn her about this, unless they were just being friendly? She watched Zentha circle around her with narrowed eyes. He didn't strike her as the nice type, for some reason.

Zentha;; Something close to relief filled him as she made no comment about his name. He had somewhat expected her to race away into the blizzard at the sound of it, but thankfully luck was on his side making it easy for him. Even if the femme decided to run away just being worried about him, Zentha was sure that in this type of weather he'd have a better chance. He was probably more used to these hard conditions, always having to stay away from canine life. There was a better chance that he'd either be able to track her down by her footprints, or just beat her if it came to a chase. Whether it was either case, or she just chose to stick around, they were in Zentha's playing field.
Slowly inching forward every time he fully circled her, he was getting closer by the moment, but it irritated him that she was smart enough to take steps back every now and then. Maybe he wasn't putting up a good enough show? He wasn't sure how to be nice though, it went completely against his cold lifestyle. Maybe he'd try just a little harder, as much as it pained him to.
He finally got close enough in his circling to barely see her eyes through the falling snow. She didn't seem to be buying his fake kindness. Well that was it, there was no way he could be nicer than he was. He was used to cold heartless actions, not nice warnings and replies. So he stopped circling, once he was just a couple feet from her, and he crouched lowering his legs to the ground. In one swift movement he had pounced, not at her, but closing the distance between them. He was close enough to see her dazzling eyes clearly. Her faint orbs were a mix of grey and white, and enhancing. There were only mere inches away from his, but he quickly got hold of himself, pulling out of his dream-like state.
"What's wrong? You don't say much...Do you not trust me?" Zentha's voice was soft, yet malicious. It was obvious to tell that the sweet and innocent tone was fake. A playful and dangerous smile came across his muzzle, as he stared at her with trouble in his eyes.

Niyah didn't feel comfortable now, she felt far from it, the Brute was giving off a dangerous feeling, and she didn't like it. She could see him edging towards her, and eventualy, he stopped circling, but now he was only a couple of feet away from her. She took two steps back, and glanced behind her. Damn ... Their was a large cliff no far away, but that meant that their was no where to run, if she was to turn and make a break for it, she would collide head first into the rocks.
She took kept her eyes on Zentha, making sure she could see him fully. ...Zentha ... Zentha ....? Where had she heard that name before? It was stuck in her head, yet she couldn't figure out why? Zentha .... Zentha ... ? Then it dawned on her, the old stories, the pure evil wolf that her father had told her about, the rightful ruler of Skyla. But surely this couldn't be him? They were just stories after all? Surely not? Niyah looked at him with wide eyes, he fitted the discription in her head, strong, poerful, and incredibly handsom. The Fae took another step away from him, and stopped again.
He was crouched on his hind legs now, but it was too late when she realised what he was doing, as he pounced, she readied herself for defence in an attack, but no pain came. He had not pounced on her, but landed a couple of feet away. She edged backwards slightly, before taking another large step away.
"What's wrong? You don't say much...Do you not trust me?" She narrowed her eyes. "I learned not to trust any old wolf i happen to meet at a young age." She said, taking another step away. Could she make a break for it? Would she be fast enough to get away? Probably not ...

Zentha;; His eyes stayed fixed to the fae as she moved back and turned to peek behind her. It was then Zentha noticed the rocky cliffs not far away also. Well that cut out one theory, luck really was gracing him today, wasn't it? There was no way she could run, unless she so foolishly tried to fight past him. He was sure by the size of her she wouldn't be hard to throw to the ground. It definitely wouldn't be smart, and she seemed to be a very intelligent wolf. After all, she was seeing through his fake comments pretty well.
Her mad and irritated look had seized for a moment...It almost looked like...fear and shock? But he couldn't pinpoint were the sudden emotions would come from. It would be all so much easier if he could see into the minds of his victims and play toys. It would help him find the right buttons that could be pushed to watch them squirm, yet he couldn't ever see that happening. He was horrible at reading people; as he never was one to ever socialize, even as a pup when he was somewhat decent he usually kept to himself.
"I learned not to trust any old wolf I happen to meet at a young age." He chuckled softly and he echoed her steps. Every time she decided to move backwards, he was taking the same step forward. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to judge a book by it's cover though?" It was obvious that if anyone were to run into Zentha their first thought would be mean, evil and not very friendly. He usually keeps low to the ground when he does met people, yet his tail stands straight in the air, and his head is kept raised proudly. His legs are usually crouched, giving him the advantage to pounce at any time he pleases. And even though his words are innocent, his deadly tone just gives it away that his kindness is all an act.

Niyah took another glance behind her. They were, step by step, gradualy getting closer to the whitened cliff. Give it any longer and she would be completely backed up against it by this Brute infront of her. If she could just get around the other side of the wolf without being notised, she may just have a chance to run for it. This male was beginning to creep her out now, and although he was a very handsom Brute, their was a certain feeling that he gave off that she didn't like. Yet their was also a sort of lure about him, which she couldn't help but feel.
As he took another step forward, she took to steps back, narrowing her eyes, and lowering her tail between her back legs. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to judge a book by it's cover though? She glared at him, taking another step back, and coming in scaringly close to the cliff. The snow was still falling thickly, but they were so close to eachother that she could see him clearly. Niyah was starting to get worried now, if she didn't try to run, then their was no way of getting away. No, she didn't, actualy She said, taking another step away. The Fae glances around, if she could just slip round him, if she was just a little braver, then she might be able to get away. If only it was that simple. She knew she wouldn't be able to outrun him, and she didn't fancy getting into a fight with him either, because their was no way she would beat him. He would easily pin her down, she had no chance.

Zentha;; No, she didn't, actualy.
"Oh, what a shame." He chuckled softly, continuing to mirror her steps. He leaned his muzzle in closer, and narrowed his eyes seductively and wickedly into hers. A sly smile came across him as he eyed her playfully. "I could show you that I'm not /all/ bad, once you get to know me." Ha, what a lie! No matter how much someone tried to dig deep into Zentha and find a kind-hearted soul, he thought it to be impossible. In his mind, he didn't carry a heart, nor a soul to speak of. His mother had always thought the same also, a smart one she had been. Unlike his naive father, who he regretted he had once looked up to. Now the only one he would really idolize was a dead wolf. Angi, who continued to stay as his role model.
He frowned as he noticed her glancing around. For an escape, maybe? Well he couldn't allow that, not at all. He wasn't finished with his little games yet. His left paw raised forward, and he placed it lightly over hers. "Don't try to run, sweetheart. It won't do you any good. I would hate to watch you hurt yourself in harsh weather like this." Of course, it was probably less safer near Zentha. It was always hard to tell exactly when the male would strike out, he could be surprising sometimes.

Niyah eyed him suspicously. He had a strange way of trying to get on the good side of someone, if that was what he was tring to do. She looked at him, to see that he was watching her closely, and had moved alot closer, so that their muzzles were almost touching. She didn't move back this time, if she did, then she would be stood against the cliff side, and she certainly didn't want that. He was smiling strangly, and it gave her the shivers, either that, or the snow that was now falling thickly.
"I could show you that I'm not /all/ bad, once you get to know me." Niyah smirked, if he was going to be playful, then she may as well be playfull back, it was her only chance of getting away. She stepped forward a little, smirking. Oh really? She said, a smile now placed upon her maw.
She flinched slightly as he raised a paw, for a moment she though he was going to attack her, but he placed it on her paw.'Don't try to run, sweetheart. It won't do you any good. I would hate to watch you hurt yourself in harsh weather like this.' She stared at hm, glancing down at her paw, which was now covered by his. Now she felt worried, but their was something else their too. Oh, and why is that?
Muse: rubbish.

Oh really? Her own smile caused his wicked grin to widen, his teeth revealing slightly. She had moved closer and the thought that barely an inch of space seperated them was exciting. More than exciting...it was a feeling he couldn't even explain. Different than his usual angry or cold emotions, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't pinpoint exactly what the new sensation was. Maybe just hunger? No, he had beenhungry before, always having to hide away from other wolves and this definitely wasn't it. He had time later to figure out what it was though, at the moment he was just to caught up in playing games.
Oh, and why is that?
"I have a heart you know..." Again with the lies? Anyone who truly knew Zentha could easily say it was possible that an empty hole replaced the spot his heart should be. It wasn't likely that he carried any feelings like that, or that specific organ after how cold and lethal he was. Some might even think it impossible. "And even if you did run," He moved even closer, and placed his muzzle right next to her ear, whispering into it. "I could easily catch you."
