Kovu was on his way to Xyla lands when he saw Petra Falls, Kovu stopped for a while and walked to the edge of the falls, Kovu watched at the water crashed on to the rocks he saw a few bones and it brought a smile to his face, The brute when in to a deep thought he was thinking of the times him and Senna was having the best time ever when they were playing around. Kovu quickly came back to reality and watched as a mother and her rabbits hopped down the falls being careful of the slippery rocks.
Kovu sat and rapped his tail around his feet as the water was giving off a cool breeze. He knew what he had done was wrong all because he was jealous of the fact that Senna wanted Kaija and no Kovu. Kovu watched at the water rushed down the falls he was tempted to jump over the edge but knew that wouldn't help. Kovu couldn't help but feel guilty for what he had done to Kaija, but Kovu realized that it was partly Kaija's fault. Kovu sat with his mind ruffling through the memories that he had.
Kovu stood and stretched he walked down the falls being careful not to slip or fall. The brute watched as the family of rabbits ran over to the field. Kovu wanted to apologize for the hurt he had cause but he knew it wouldn't help he had to leave things to settle down before even trying to talk to Senna and Kaija. Kovu knew that Kaija would more than likely want revenge, but right now Kovu wasn't to bothered. He listened as the birds began to sing. Kovu could help but wonder what Senna felt against him.
Kovu sat and in the distance he noticed a limping figure he noticed it was Kaija, Kovu looked at his blood stained fur some of his own hue but most of Kaija's but Kovu saw that Kaija was strong if he could over come that beating, Kovu looked around for Senna but his hopes was soon gone as he didn't see her something had happened but Kovu didn't want to get involved he was already feeling guilty. Kovu slowly approached Kaija being submissive.
Kovu lowered his self under Kaija "You may take revenge" Kovu flinched and awaited to be attacked he saw his paw bleeding and Kovu stood but still made himself lower than Kaija "I am sorry for what I have done to you" his voice was submissive Kovu started to walk backwards as Kaija walked forward Kovu's paw slipped over the edge of the falls he was hanging off the edge of the falls when he noticed Senna running and calling Kaija Kovu knew he was going to die as Senna stood by Kaija Kovu lost his grip and fell on to a rock half way between the top and bottom of the falls, Kovu started to go dizzy and he lost conciseness.

Kaija lifted his head as a scent caught in his nose. It was Kovu. Oh shit He thought to himself, raising off of the ground. He walked out of the cave, to see the Brute walking towards him, staying low to the ground. This brought a smirk to his face, to see that Kovu was walking in submission, after all that he had doen to get Senna back. Unless this was a trap, perhaps Kovu wanted to make Kaija think he was being submissive, so that he could attack him when closer. Kaija approached him with caution.
You may take revenge
Kaija smirked, did Kovu realy think that he was going to kill him, in this state? Never the less, he approached Kovu, a glint of Evil in his eye. This seemed to scare him, because Kovu walked backwards, getting closer and closer to the cliff edge.
I am sorry for what i have caused you
Kaija smirked. And so you should be. Could you not just leave us alone? We were perfectly happy untill you came back and interupted things. he saw Kovu wince at his words, ans this provoked Kaija to go further. He advanced on him, not realising how close Kovu was to the edge. Before he had realised what had happened, the Brute had fallen, landing on a flat but small rock that was jutting out of the edge a couple of meters down, his head lolling dangerously over the edge.
Was he dead? Kovu stirred. apparently not.
Kaija sneered at him. So, you have met the real me, huh? He paused, knocking a couple of pepples over the edge. And i am warning you now, DONT come anywhere near me, Senna, or my sister ever again. And i will know if you go to the Xyla, Kovu, so don't even think about it, i have my sources.He said with an evil smirk.
Kaija headed back towards the forest, to find that Senna was heading this way. When he could smell that she was close enough, he ran over to the edge of the Cliff. Kovu? Kovu?! Can you hear me?! He shouted, with believable panick. He looked over to where the Fae was, a glint of Evil still in his eyes.
((Whoa hooa. Eviil! Jack, could me mingle the Xyla into this somehow, and also Kaija needs to find out about Senna expecting pups some time)) |

((Senna could see what Kaija did which puts her off of him but she doesn't say, Senna looks large so Kaija know she is pregnate then Kaija starts to turn on Senna when she isn't so close to him for what he did to Kovu))

(Not yet Jack, Kovu just came out of the fight with Kaija..so it was really only ten mintues ago that she got pregnant. xD And what if Senna doesn't know and runs down to Kovu to see him regain consiousness, and tell him Kaija did it. Then Senna could start to have a change of heart and have sympathy for Kovu..and later on when Senna gets more preggy, she'll go find Kaija and tell him the news, and then Kovu too..Puppehs !(Word overused..xDD) If you want. =P) |

Senna moped around with dreary eyes. She felt so tired..then again, there wasn't really a time she wasn't. She ran all around the packlands over and over again for a patrol, chasing out coyotes and the stray rabbit. The last place:Petra Falls. She knew she could take a rest in her favourite cave underneath the waterfall if she needed to, but she wouldn't come to rest unless she knew that her pack was safe. Trooting towards the falls, she saw Kaija sunning frantically over too the falls. What was he doing here and look so worried? Something by the look he held made her go on full alert. There was something definatly wrong. There wasn't much that made Kaija go off like that.
"Kovu? Kovu?! Can you hear me?!"
Senna growled breifly, and took off behind Kaija. She assumed that Kovu had gone off and done something stupid like get himself stuck on a legde, but Kaija's worried voice sent chills down her spine. What if was worse than that? She began to go at a sprint, soon coming up to Kaija's side and to the falls. She looked at him, his panicing eyes staring down over the edge. Should I even look down..? Without even looking down, she knew it wasn't good. When she flicked her gaze down, her eyes widened. Kovu lay down on a ledge, motionless and limp. He looked like he was dead. "Kovu.." Her voice suddenly muttered, still alittle in shock. But she couldn't help but wonder..was this on purpose?
"Kovu!" She barked loudly, but to no avail. He was just as lifeless as before. Damn it. Senna skidded down the side where it was mostly dirt, a much safer way then what Kovu went through. Gradually with caution, she made it onto the same ledge as him, coming up to his side. She inspected him from all angles. He was, simply put, messed up. He took quite a fall, and she imagined it was fatal. Analizing him more carefully though, he saw his chest rise and fall, but it was faint. It was a relief, but still..how bad of a condition was he in? Senna moved alitle closer to him, nudging his side gentally, carefull to not hurt him. "Kovu..Kovu, wake up." The alphess looked up at Kaija. "What happened to him?" She knew how it happened, he fell, obviously. But how? Did he do this himself, an accident, or was it someone else's doing? She highly doughted the last one though. It wasn't like anyone in her pack would purposely shove there pack mates off a waterfall to the doom..

Kovu heard a slight noise but he was rather drozy his head was thumping. Kovu couldn't reconise the voice who was talking to him but somthing was familar about it. Kovu's eyes slowly flickered open he saw Senna he could hardly speak but he mainaged "s .. senna" Kovu's voice was hardly reconisble. He tried to stand but he fell back down again a blood pool was where his head fell, the blood was matted in to his fur.
Kovu smiled as he saw Senna "I .. I a .. am fine", Kovu stood this time he mainaged it he felt rather dizzy he heard Senna ask whats happened "I was trying to say sorry to Kaija when he walked backwards I walked backwards but Kaija wouldn't stop and he made be fall" Kovu wasn't playing around his words were meant and he knew that Senna knows when he way lying but he wasn't now. Kovu tried to walk up to the top but he just fell backwards back on to the leadge "Senna you can go I will be fine" He didn't want Senna to go but he didn't want to upset her again.

Kaija stood with a panicked face as Senna came through onto the cliff top to join them. How she had known about this little area of the cliff he didn't know, but it didn't bother him. She padded over to the edge, and took a glance down. Kaija watched and saw her facial features change completely. Her eyes screwed up in terror, and she looked alittle shaken. He watched Senna take a short path down the side of the cliff, and nudge the Brute gently. Kaijas heart beat fastened. Dont wake up, please dont wake up. Be dead. He pleaded with himself. The Alpha was slightly astonished with himself, wanting another wolf dead, but he had changed, since becoming a high rank. Beta had brought him closer to his evil side, but Alpha had done it. Clicked something inside of him.
The Brutes eyes flashed with anger as Kovu stirred. Damn ... He looked down at Senna as she spoke. He fell. Was all he could say, he couldn't make up a story, he had never been any good at that, and would only get himself into deep shit.
Kaija felt the anger rising in him as Kovu stirred again, and tried feebly to stand up. 'I was trying to say sorry to Kaija when he walked backwards I walked backwards but Kaija wouldn't stop and he made be fall' He couldn't believe this, what a liar! So, yes, he had got a little carried away, but Kovu was the one who started it, he was the one who had come back and asked him to take revenge, no doubt knowing that Kaija wouldn't be able to help himself! Liar! He said loudly, sending a warning glare at Kovu. His heart was filled with anger, and he truly felt like finishing that Brute off, and if Senna took Kovus side instead of his, he would have something to say about that. Kaija knew that if it came to a fight, Kovu would had no chance in his current state, and Kaija could lure Senna in easily.

Kovu was now standing he saw the anger in Kaija's eyes but Kovu was telling the truth partly but he was about to tell the whole truth. I walked up to Kaija in submission I said he may take revenge I know it was stupid but I wanted to make things right Kovu bowed his head he heard Kaija shout liar but he wasn't he told the truth Kovu walked up to the top of the falls it was a struggle but he managed every muscle in his body was aching.
Kovu stood near the edge Senna look at these paw prints mind is the ones which are long because of me falling and Kaija is pushing backwards to show he pushed as his body went back Kovu walked back over away from the edge, he was telling the truth and evidence was there to prove what he was saying. Kovu sat as he was feeling a little unsteadily. Kovu walked away from the both wolves as his head was pounding he didn't know what was wrong with him.
Kovu walked a foot or so away from the pair, when his head began to pound more and more and his vison became blurred the next thing he knew was he fell to the floor, lying in a large heap he had passed out from all the blood loss from his head.

"He fell."
Stating the obvious.. She knew he fell, but how? Her question went unansered as she heard Kovu say her name. His voice seemed alittle rapsy, and the condition he was in was horrible. Her auds perked forward as he told his said of the tale, only making her lobes quickly press back against her head. Kaija might be alittle dark at heart, but she never thought of him to do that. "Liar!" Her head whirled around to see Kaija, glaring down bitterly at Kovu. She figured he would be angry, after all, she wouldn't want anyone making up false accusations about her. She remained quiet, a blank expression fell upon her face. Untill she got some answers here, she was going to treat them like an ordinary wolf out of her pack, and not anything more. She wasn't going to take anyone's side before she got the truth..but she hoped Kaija didn't do it.
Her eyes wandered after Kovu as he stumbled up the dirt path, and followed close behind. He showed what evidence he had, but, it didn't prove anything. "These footprints mean nothing..They very well could have been someone else's." The footprints clearly showed of stuggle and paws skidding into the dirt and off the ledge..but that didn't mean someone else could have done it. Snapping back to reality, Kovu fell to the ground, unconscious once more. She loosened a sigh and walked over to his side. If he kept overdoing himself too much he'd surely kill himself. Senna looked to where Kaija stood. His eyes showed pure rage and hatred towards Kovu, no dought still angry with him. This time she wasn't going to wake Kovu, he needed the rest. She licked his head to stop the bleeding, and walked back over to the footprints. There was one way to settle this. Her sense of smell. If she smelled the footprints, she could detirmine who pushed him off, unless it was a wolf she never met before, then she would be clueless. Pressing her pitch nose to the ground, she sniffed at the pawprints. The one with skid marks were definatly Kovu's, but as she moved over to the other..the scent was undeniable. Yet, she simply couldn't believe it. She sniffed over and over again to try and prove herself wrong..but she wasn't. She was right. It was Kaija's scent.
The alphess slowly lifted her head, turned away from the brutes eyes. How was she to go about this? Why do you care?! He's not even your mate anymore! Her screaming thoughts mean't nothing now. She put her trust into Kaija, and she felt like she got backstabbed. She would have never imagined him to try and put an end to Kovu's life. True, Kovu was a loner, and Kaija could kill a loner if he pleased..yet, he tried killing her former mate. Right after they went there seperate ways. "Kaija..I want you trace the wolf's scent that belongs to these tracks for me." Her voice cut through the silence in a cold, chilling tone, her eyes still cast out over the falls. Now all she had to figure out was what to do now. |

Kaijas insides jolted as Senna went to take a sniff at the prints on the floor. One look at her told him that she had figured out what had happened, but still, she didn't seem to want to admit it.
'Kaija..I want you trace the wolf's scent that belongs to these tracks for me
Her voice was cold, but it was a tone Kaija was all to familiar with, being brought up in the Skyla pack. He sighed, the Brute knew that he couldn't lie to safe his life, so decided not to after all, besides, he saw what had happened as funny. "I can't ... those tracks belong to me. I got abit carried away with anger when he began taunting me, but i really didn't realise Kovu was so close to the edge."
This was all the truth, Kovu had been taunting him, he had got angry, and he certainly hadn't realised how close Kovu was to the edge, the only thing he didn't mention, was the feeling of happiness that had swolen up in Kaijas stomach when he had witnessed Kovu fall. He had found it almost releaving, to think that he was finally going to be Alpha of the pack, and have full claim of Senna, without somebody getting in the way. The disapointment he had felt when Kovu had stirred was something he didn't often feel, and it was strange.
He smirked as Kovu collapsed, the site of the Brute bleeding and unconsious made him feel almost proud of what he had done, but their was one letdown to his pride, he hadn't done it on purpose.
Kaija looked at Senna, staring deeply into her darkened eyes. He knew she would have trouble overcoming her feeling for him, or at least, he hoped. Think of all the things he had done for her, all the fun he had given her. He smirked, what a laugh it would be to see Kovus face if Senna was pregnant with Kaijas pups, but that was impossible, and it wasn't something that Kaija wanted to happen, yet.

She watched as Kaija stayed where he was, fully knowing what she had already found out. Senna turned to face him, her face remaining emotionless, but her eyes narrowed. "Abit? You backed him off a waterfall." He said he didn't realize he was so close to the edge, but still. Skyla doesn't take pride in harming there pack members..Though Kovu wasn't really a member anymore.
She caught a glimpse of him, smirking at Kovus pain. He took pleasure in his agony. Sure, lately Senna had her differences with him, but she wouldn't think of finding it amusing to see him so badly hurt. She averted her gaze away from him again, alittle angered to look at him. "Your enjoying ever moment of it, aren't you?" She knew it by the look in his eyes. She knew that look all too well, to have that seering amusement in her eyes as she maimed and slaughtered other victims for fun. But to see that look on him at Kovu, like he achieved something as big as killing him.. She felt as if she done something wrong. When they were by themselves, he hadn't acted as evil as this. Don't get her wrong, she loves a wolf who's cruel, but to someone she knows.. it's almost like making your own deathwish.

Kovu heard Senna's cold voice towards Kaija, Kovu began to come round again, he put all his power in to standing up again he wasn't going to let Kaija beat him. Kovu stood and steadily walked over to the two wolves. Kovu stood seeing what the next move would be "Senna thank you" Kovu affectionately licked Senna's muzzle before backing off a little as a cool stare from Kaija beamed at him. Kovu stood watching what would happen next he knew that Kaija would most likely want to kill him now.
Kovu slowly and steadily walked over to a small stream and took a drink it was refreshing. Kovu lay down as he had quenched his thirst, he rested his pounding head on his paws and watched the two wolves. Kovu was full of mixed emotions but he wanted to know it he would be in the pack or banished "Senna am I still in this pack?" Kovu needed an answer if he wasn't he would leave simple as that. If Kovu was still in the pack then it would for now at least be the happiest wolf around.
Kovu had a thought which he kept pushing to the back of his mind Was Senna pregnant by Kaija Kovu hated the thought but it was to late to do anything. A stray tear made its way down Kovu's face his heart clearly broken by Senna with help from Kaija, Kovu stood and walked away from the wolves he needed to get over his pain alone, Kovu walked far enough he was about 20 feet away from the pair. Kovu lay down again and emptied his mind.
Kovu didn't understand why he was the one getting hurt, why had Senna took a liking to Kaija why now?, why when they was so happy?, Kovu pondered over all these questions still unanswered. Kovu didn't understand anything about all this, he wished it was a nightmare he could wake up from and Senna would be my his side. Kovu wondered for a moment thinking where was Layla there was not a word from her, Kovu thought she must have died not to keep in contact.
Kovu stood after clearing his mind and walked near Senna and stood by her, he smiled and used his tail to tickle her without Kaija noticing. Kovu remembered the past when everything was fine between Senna and Kovu but Kaija ruined it. Kovu had a flash back of when he revealed the cave to Senna and when she found out what he had carved on the wall he knew she would remember he whispered to Senna If I could re-arrange the alphabet I would put U and I together He smiled knowing only to well Kaija saw him but his smile was because he knew Senna would remember.

Kaija stood, glaring at Kovu, how could this have gone any worse?! He could tell he was loosing to Kovu, but that didn't realy bother him, the thing that was clinging tightly to his chest, was the fact that he was no doubt going to loose Senna. For about a day, he had been the happiest he had ever felt, Alpha of a pack, Kovu gone, and a mate by his side, but now all that was ruined, because of the Brute that stood in pain infront of him.
'Abit? You backed him off a waterfall.'
Kaija shuffled on his feet, her words made him feel bad, but he realy hadn't intended to make him fall, he wasn't that sort of wolf! Or was he?
The Brute looked at Senna, only to see that she was watching him with very cold eyes, she was suppost to be his mate! Back him up on his decisions! Not have second thoughts about her former mate! Kaija had won the right to be her mate, fair and square, and everyone knew that the male wolf of the pair was the most dominent, so she should be sticking with him!
'Your enjoying ever moment of it, aren't you?'
Kaija stifled a laugh, of course he was enjoying this! Kovu was his enimy, so obviously he was happy that Kovu was in this position. "Well ... yeah" He said, staring into Sennas eyes some more.
He directed his gaze to Kovu.
'Senna am I still in this pack?'
Kaija glared at him nastily. You were never in the pack, you left, luckily for us, remember? He said coldly. Senna was still watching him, but why was she so suprised about the incesdent? She hadn't seemed to bothered when Kovu had tried to kill him! And at this time of the year, early spring, it was only natural for two Brutes to fight to kill! It was expected of him, to fight off rivals! Kaija snarled at Kovu when he walked up to Senna, and he seemed to be wispering to her. Kovu then smirked at him, which annoyed him alot, the only thing that kept him from attacking Kovu, was Senna. Maybe he had got her pregnant? He could probably face being a father, perhaps it would be fun? Kaija smirked back at Kovu, he was in for a big shock if she was.
