[Karisana]

It had been a few days since the small pup had found herself washed up upon the shore of the lands of the Xyla pack. She had managed to meet the Alphess of the lands and become friends with her, if that was the word to be used. Already the young pup saw her as a motherly type figure... She had accepted her into her lands and let her stay at least this long. And it didn't seem she was eager to chase the little one off anytime soon.

The pup had so much on her mind... Her family... The unknown threat that had destroyed her home... All that had happened to her that fateful night... But for now Karisana busied herself with exploring the lands. It may seem quite odd for the little one to be wandering by herself, and it was likely she would be berated for it, but Kishi had been busy when she headed out... So she hadn't noticed the pup slipping out of the den, or so she though.

In any case she headed into The Burnouts, looking around and taking in all the new scents of the pack members and the lands they called home. She wondered... For Kishi hadn't really spoken to her about staying for any lengthy time... But she really hoped she would be allowed to. These last few days had been very nice, though she spent most of the time resting and brooding over what had happened, heck the small wolf hardly left the cave she had been brought to that first night. But now here she was out and about, exploring these new lands alone for the time being. But who knew how long that would last?

Trotting at an easy pace, the small, red coated pup eyed her surrounding uneasily. She didn't know where she was, but the scents were different to the ones in the last set of lands she had explored in. Her ears flicked to the sounds areound her, and Rehd slinked through the tatty undergrowth. Everything here seemed to be dead. Dead or dying. None of the plants, or what was left of them, had the faintest sign of green on them.

She leapt onto a fallen log, but misjudged her footing, and slipped off it onto the ground with a thud. Scowling at herself, the young Fae stood up, shaking away the dead leaves that clung to her fur. "Damn this stupid place." She said in annoyance with herself. It realy was getting on her nerves, the fact that she couldn't walk without tripping on something.

Her head perked up at the sound of someone moving about. She could hear the soft sound of paws meeting the ground. She stood where she was for a minute, fear striking into her mind. What if it was someone who live here? Would they mind if she was exploring their lands? But then these thoughts were over ridden. If it was someone, they wouldn't mind. She was just a pup, and she could easily play the inoccent. After all, she was only having a look round, she wasn't doing anything bad.

Her legs took her forward, and she trotted at a steady pace towards the sound. It didn't take her long to pick up a scent. It was a wolf, that was for sure.

Rehd waked, slowing down slihglty now. She gazed around her in search for the other wolf. There. It was a pup, just like herself, maybe a little younger. She hadn't met any other young wolves on this Island, only adults. "Hello? Who's that?" She said confidently, not wanting to show any fear.

The small wolf pup continued to trot along through these lands, sniffing about and exploring this place she hoped to call home. She was quite oblivious to any other wolves in the immediate area, but that wouldn't last long. It seemed she was not at all alone. Her thoughts continued to wander, however, the small pup quite unable to keep them contained. Kari huffed in frusteration and would stop trying to.

Yet her ears would perk up as she heard a soft thud not far off. What was this? It seemed she was indeed not alone? This made her tense up a little bit. Really she had only met one of the pack members, and that was the Alphess. She hadn't seen any other wolves around yet... What if this was one of the pack members and they didn't take kindly to this little wanderer of a wolf as well. Sure she had been accepted by the Alphess it seemed, but did the rest of the pack know that yet?

Well it was not long before something quite unintimidating came into her view... It was another pup! Sure it was likely to be a bit bigger than she, perhaps even a little older, and yet it was still just another pup! Her tail couldn't help but give a little wave, considering she hadn't met Kishi's pups yet, nor seen any other pups around. Well a light bark would be given before the young wolf approached her.

'Hello? Who's that?' She heard the wolfess speak. Her tail waved a bit more as her nose set to twitching about, drawing in this new scent. "Hiya! I'm Kari! What's your name?" Immediately friendly was the small one to this new pup. She wondered if she was one of the pack members. So of course she would ask! "Are you part of this pack?"

As she stood, alittle way from the pup, awaiting her to notice her. rehd thought about all the possibilities. The pup could be a member of the pack, could even be the Alphess' off spring, or she could be another wanderer, like herself.

When the pup did notice her, she let out a little bark, and her tail began to wave.

'Hiya! I'm Kari! What's your name?'
Rehd cocked her head to the side as she studied the pup. She was definatly younger than herself, by maybe a month or two, perhaps even more. "I'm Rehd." She said cautiously. But then, on a lighter note, she sat down, a big grin upon her maw.

'Are you part of this pack?'
This question took her by surprise. So their was a pack here! Imedietly, new question began to bubble up in her mind. what if this new pack did not like her on their lands, especialy as she would most likely have the scents of that last pack on her ... what was it .?. Skyla? Yes, that was it, she had met the Alpha and alphess, and one of the pups there. So she had met another pup in her life time1 Wow, so much her memory had kept from her. "Which pack would that be?" Sje asked, the big grin still placed upon her maw. The thought of getting into trouble with high ranks. It excited her. What fun.

Kari watched her carefully for a few moments, tilting her head a little bit. She was also going through those possibilities in her mind. Who was this pup... Well she wasted no time darting over to her, tail up and waving, and nose sniffing as she checked her out. She perked her ears up at the bark from the other pup, and noticed her tail waving. Well that was a good sign...

She perked her ears up as she heard the pup utter her own name, and her tail continued to wave maddly. "Nice ta meet ya Rehd!" She yipped out to the other pup in an excited fashion. She tilted her head curiously as she grinned right back at the other pup.

Karisana watched her curiously as she heard her return her question with a question. She allowed her tail to wave rapidly, figuring that if the other pup didn't know what pack this was, then she wasn't a part of it. "Xyla! It's Kishi's pack!" She nodded a bit with that same silly grin. Goodness... Was the pup this excited about everything? Probably...

The small pup suddenly froze, ears up and a worried look in her eye. "Are you all alone? No pup should be out here alone... I bet we could go talk to Kishi and I bet she'd let you stay!" She nodded rapidly, smiling brightly to her. Wow what was with this pup... She hadn't even quite got permission for her to stay, and already she was offering another pup a home here too? Well she'd have to talk to Kishi and see... But she doubted she would mind terribly, heck she hadn't sent her away yet...

The Fae sat stiffly as the other pup came over to sniff her. She didn't feel comforable with the Fae being so close, just like she never felt comforable having any other wolf too close, but still, she did not show it.

'Nice ta meet ya Rehd!'
The pup shook her body, remembering her manners. "nice to meet you too." She said with a smile.
'Xyla! It's Kishi's pack'
At these words, rehd imedietly took a step back. She may not have ever heard of the Xyla pack, but she would most definatly still have the scent of Skyla on her, and who knows, these two packs could be worst enimies for all she knew. It could be a death wish. "Xyla?" /she said uncertainly. Hopefully this pup wouldn't recognise the scent, and would not call for the alpha. But hey, getting into trouble with high ranks was one of her favourite games.

'Are you all alone? No pup should be out here alone... I bet we could go talk to Kishi and I bet she'd let you stay!'
Rehd took another step backwards, shuffling her paws slightly. However, she stood confidently, proud to be a part of no pack. "No thanks, i'm not planning on staying. You could come with me if you like?" She said, thinking about finding the two young brute she had met in the barren lands. Romulous and ... who was it ... remus? Yeah, that was it. she hadn't actualy spoken to them, but she was curious to meet them. The only problems would be finding them. Their, that was two more pups to add to the list!

Tail still now, Rehd glanced around her surroundings, and then sent a questioning look at Kari, waiting for her to reply.

Kari was absolutely oblivious to the tenseness in the other pup as she set to sniffing her eagerly, her tail waving in excitement. She tilted her head a bit and would soon back off a couple paces and plop her little pup rear onto the ground and pant a little, excitement showing in the wagging of her tail. She tilted her head a little bit as she heard the words from Rehd and gave her a puppish grin right back.

She tensed up, however, as she saw Rehd take a nervous step back from her in response to her telling her what the pack name and pack Alphess was... Well this confused the pup, but quite honestly, she was oblivious of the fact that the scent on Rehd was of a different pack. Nor did she know of any rivalries, if there were any, between the two packs. She was merely a happy pup for the most part, thinking of joining this pack she had found.

She tilted her head in confusion as she watched the other pup back up further. Well she made no move to go after her, merely sitting and watching in silence. She tilted her head in confusion at her words, and her eyes widened at the thought of heading off with this other pup. She dipped her head slightly, and whimpered only a little. "Rehd.... You know there's this big danger right? They killed my mom and dad..." She whispered softly, shaking her head a little bit. "We shouldn't be by ourselves... It's much safer with a pack." She nodded a little, ears lowering a bit. Indeed, Kari was scared of the idea of going off alone with the other pup, and yet her eyes glinted a little as an internal battle was fought. It would be so much fun! And exciting, what an adventure!

She glanced around for a moment and paused for a little bit as she fixed Rehd with her gentle gaze as if trying hard to make up her mind. She glanced back toward the den where Kishi had let her stay, and then back to Rehd. "And Kishi would be upset if I just left her..." She gave a soft whimper of indecision, but oh how her paws pulled at her to go with Rehd... She had no true family here... And yet the idea of hurting Kishi made her pause. She furrowed her brows a little bit. "Could you wait for a little bit? You don't have to come with me... But maybe just wait until I can go talk to Kishi?"

Rehd sat, tence, waiting for the pup to rep naughtiness, the cheekiness, the fighting. ly. She watched the pup, wondering what she was thinking. Even though she had only just met this pup, she realy wanted her to come. Sure, she would need help tracking down the two pups she was hoping to talk too, but it was more than that. She had a feeling that if she were to get to know Kari, they would end up realy good friends. And thats what Rehd needed at the moment, over anything else. A good friend to trust. It would stop all the naughtiness, the cheekiness, the getting into fights. Thats all she did at the moment, get into more trouble than she could handle. Sure, it was fun, but she couldn't do that all her life. She needed to do something more with herself.

'Rehd.... You know there's this big danger right? They killed my mom and dad...We shouldn't be by ourselves... It's much safer with a pack'
At the mention of the word 'mom', flashback came racing into Rehds mind, and no matter how hard she shook her head, they wouldn't go away. And what big danger was this? The humans? They weren't here, they wouldn't find Kongrai, they would stay on the other Islands. Right?
"but thats on the other Islands, it wont come here. And we will be a pack, a very small, young pack. We'd look out for eachother, like a pack does." She said, looking directly at the Fae.

'And Kishi would be upset if I just left her...'
Yet again, more flashbacks came hurteling towards her head. She knew what it was like to be left alone without a word. It hurt, badly. But you get over it, sort of. Rehd looked at the ground, hiding the tears that had swelled to her eyes. She blinked hard, and then looked back up at the pup.

'Could you wait for a little bit? You don't have to come with me... But maybe just wait until I can go talk to Kishi?'
this put the smile back on Rehds face, it sounded promising, maybe the pup really would come with her. Rehd wasn't just dreaming it. They would set out, two pups, to venture the Island by themselves. No adults, no parents to hurt them.
"Sure sure." She said simply.
