A shroud of mist covered the mysterious island, the ominous feeling about it made Flint's auds swivel around constantly. How he had traveled from the beutiful Liazo packlands to this.. place, was beyond him. He just wandered absentmindedly and winded up on Exousia packlands. Judging from the fading scent markings, there was no alpha's around here, nor did it seem like there was any pack members. The island seemed so.. dead. Everything was still and silent around Flint, even himself. Not the faintest noise of life was to be heard, until an irratated growl escaped his clenched jaws. This was just great. Not only could he not find a single morsel of food around the island, there wasn't a single dame around here. Not one! He wouldnt have even bothered coming onto this island if he had known that. Emitting a loud snort, the timber brute stalked onwards into the hazy forest.
The faint sound of his claws clinking against a dirt-worn path in the forest was the only audible sound penatrating his ears. And;still nothing. It was rare to see Flint get mad, but the fact that no fea's graced his presence, and that he hadn't eaten all day, made him alittle annoyed. The best solution to the problem; to get the hell off this island as quick as possible. That had been his plan all day now when he realised that he was the only population on the island right now. At least, as far as he knew. Problem was, which was out? He stopped dead in his tracks, turning his head in all directions like he had so many times before. Unfortunatly, the mist hanging in the air didn't let him see past about 5 feet ahead of him. All he could see was trees. And fog. And rocks. And twigs.. and no damn femmes! "Damn, I need to get off this island." His voice had a low, irratable tone to it, accompined with a brief growl that followed shortly after. Nature seemed to throw everything else at him, except a pretty little fea. A sigh loosened from his maw when he realised how childish he was sounding. Still.. It wouldn't kill anyone to have a fa-.. another wolf around.
Finally, as time passed by, the dense forest became less and less thick each time he went further. Then, an opening appeared up ahead. Flint, for the first time that day, smiled, and quickened his pace to a steady run. His paws thumped off the ground as his speed increased, trees flying past him in his periphiral vision. Then, he left out from the forest into the open where the mist seemed to vanish. Unfortunatly, the ground was no longer littered with leaves and lush grasses. He had hit the edge of the island where the beach rocks met the salty water. Damn-- Realising that he had to slow down, he tried to come to a hault.. in vain. Instead, his paws hit the sharp beach rocks, making him tumble nose-first into the salty water. Flint layed there for a moment, looking down to see his padded paws bloody, his fur disheveled with dirt, and his diginity brusied. Great. Producing a faint groan, making a few bubbles since his mouth was underwater, he slowly got to his paws. Another mistake. His paws had open wounds on them, and the salt water didn't exactly have a soothing effect on them. A sharp, stinging pain shot through his paws as the soaked brute growled in anger. He quickly steeped out of the water.. onto the sharp rocks again. Each one dug up into his wounds, making the brute curse. "God, I love this island." His voic was dripping in sarcasm, of course, while his paws were dripping with crimson liquid. He slumped down onto his haunches and bared the pain, though his ears were flattened across his head in annoyance. Yeah. He officially hated this island with a passion.

Padding gently through the small Island, the scene coated in what seemed to be a mix between fog and mist, Akila had absolutely no idea where she was. Nor did she have any idea how she had ended up on this dot of land. Whether it could be called an island, she did not know, as it was tiny. Yet it seemed to be the only Island around here.
She trotted happily through the undergrowth, searching for ... well ... anything. Anyone. Something that would make her day more ... exciting. At the moment, it wasn't going well. The more she walked, it seemed, the threes got less thick. she was beginning to get closer to the shore. Then she would be able to find out if she was stuck on this Island or not. It would be that bad if she was stuck here, it wasn't ugly, nor deprived of food. But it was lonely, and what she craved more than anything at the moment was company. She had not spoken to anyone in ages, and it had left her feeling, well, feeling like crap.
The more she walked, the more open it became, and it didn't take long for her to be out of the trees completely. The ground wasn't soft anymore, though. It was as hard as rock. In fact, it seemed it was rock! This was a beach, only without any sand. Akila scowled to herself. She liked beaches, they gave off the feeling of freedowm, with the sea being so close and all. But this beach was different. It felt just like any old place. No extra special feelings. Not realy. Just the same old thing. How boring.
She lifted her head in the soft wind, notising only now that the mist was gone. Their was a scent in the air. Another wolf. Finally, some company! She padded forward, being very cautious. She had craved company for such a long time, but now she had found it, she wished more than ever to be alone. But she couldn't just turn back, because she had spotted the wolf that owned the scent. It was a Brute, around the same age as her, maybe alittle older? Akila sat, watching him for while, unsure whether to approach or not. she wasn't one to trust a wolf easily, especially not a Brute, after what her brothers did to her sister. Practically sending her into the flames that had ended her life.
So she just watched for a while, taking in his bloodied up paws, his fur, matted with dirt. He certainly hadn't been having a good time. She watched him, but then suddenly, he was gone! Only he wasn't gone, he had just fallen forwards, into the waters. Akila, thinking this was because he was weakened, padded forwards, towards him. "Are you Ok?" She asked nervously.

Flint ran his rough touge over his matted coat, trying to get out some of the dirt. Not only did it taste horrible, his attempt atcleaning it didn't work so well. His auds seemed to lower even more than before. He made a mental note to himself to never, ever come back to this island again.. or, this packland would be the first to take over just in spite. The brute lifted one of his large paws, watching the blood drip from it. The pad on the bottom of it looked pretty torn up, as did his other paws. At any rate, he'd have to stay the night here if he was going to walk somewhat decent in the morning. If he tried to do that now, he'd just do it in pain. Flint muttered a few more curses to himself before shifting into a more compfortable position for his paws, his eyes drifting to a close. Stupid island.
'Are you Ok?'
His eyes quickly shot back open to a bell-like tone. A femme. Uaually, he'd light up and prance around the fea and charm her, but now? He asked for one eariliar, when he actually looked presentable. Now, he was a mangey-looking mutt. "Yeah, I'm fine," His rough, quiet voice answered, his amber eyes gazing up to see who he was adressing. It was a beautiful, young femme with fur as white as snow, save for the different shade on her leg. She looked alittle younger than him, but that never really mattered to Flint. The masculine sat up again, only no noticing how much smaller he was to him. He was sitting, and he was still alittle taller than her! He managed to loosen a warm smile at her before standing to his feet. That's when he realised how much of a lie he had told before. His wounded paws pained him to even stand, but he wouldn't dare to show it. Instead he sat back down again an licked at one of his bloody paws. Out of all times, a wolfess just had to be here, witnessing how pathetic he looked. He flicked an ear in annoyance at himself, before realising he still went unnamed. "Name's Flint." He lowered his head in a sort of polite manner that he always used to do, except this time, it looked like he hung it in shame. Honestly, he was pissed off already that the fact that he couldn't walk without feeling pain, couldn't get off this island, and that, for once in his life, wished that a fea wasn't near him in his current state. Still, he felt alittle better knowing that he had some company with him.

The White Fae sat a little way from the Brute, just in case he was dangerous. However, their was little chance of him attacking when he was in this state. The pads of his paws were completely ruined, and they would cause him pain for quite a while.
'Yeah, I'm fine' She smiled slightly to herself slightly. sure, he might say he was fine, but he didn't look fine. She could see the pain in his eyes, which he was hiding very well. And when he had a go at standing up ... well ... the pain was very obvious, no matter how hard he tried in keeping it secret.
'Names Flint' For some reason, the name rang a bell. Flint? She had only been here ... what ... three days now, and so couldn't possibly have met him before. Perhaps someone from her old pack had had the same name. "Akila." She said lightly, sending him a smile.
Akila shifted her head around, taking a look at her surroundings. The sun was beginning to go down, sending red rays into the sky. It was quite pretty, actualy. However, something bigger cought her attention. If the sun was setting, then the tide would soon be making its way in. And that could cause trouble, if Flint couldn't move. And she wasn't one to just leave him there, and walk off, she just couldn't make herself do it.
"You know, you realy should move, that water is getting deeper by the second." She said calmly. Already she could see the water rising around him, and it was getting closer to her own paws.
The Fae watched the sun going down, and as it did, the waters getting closer and closer to her. It wouldn't take long for it to reach Flints body. She stood up, unsure what to say. "Seriously, we should move. Can you walk?" She asked, taking note of the blood coming off of his paws. Akila could hear the noises coming from the forest behind her, but didn't take any notice of it. Then it happened. A loud bang shook the ground, and birds flew into the skies, squealing. Her ears flattened against her head. She knew that sound from her childhood. Guns. But, they couldn't be here? She had thought this Island uninhabited. Now they were in trouble. If the two legged creatures found them, they were dead for sure! "Please tell me you can walk, we realy have to move!" She said franticaly, starting to panick.
OOC ;; Thought i'd stir up some trouble heehee

'Akila'
The bell-like tone rang through his ears, bringing back some of his instincts. He nodded and loosened a warm smile on his maw. He was feeling slightly better now that he had some company, but the fact that his paws ached and that he couldn't walk still dampened his mood abit. He curled his silvery tail around his legs and looked out to the horizon. The sun was beginning to disappear, setting the skies ablaze with brilliant colors. It was painted with an array of reds and pinks. It was nice while it lasted, but darkness began to fall on them, and fast. It didn't bother Flint too much, mostly because he thought he could finally get some rest for his damaged paws. As for the femme, well, she was more than welcome to stay the night with him. His eyes suddenly turned into a mesmorised trance as his mind drifted in and out of reality from his thoughts. Not exactly the greatest of thoughts, but it did distract him from the pain.
'Seriously, we should move. Can you walk?'
The silky tone snapped him out of his trance.. and so did the salt of the water hitting against his wounds. "Well.." He voice had a hint of uncertainty to it as he tried to stand on his legs. It still hurt, but as long as he walked slow on them, he shouldn't hurt them too much. "Yeah, I'll be fine." He sauntered up to Akila's side, but stopped dead in his tracks as he heard a shot ring throughout the air. Guns..? Here? Flint's frame tensed, knowing what damage those weapons could cause. Yet, he never would have thought that those two-legged creatures would be here. He bared his fangs for a moment in disgust at the thought of them. With those guns, they wouldn't have a chance attacking them, so there only chance of surviving was to run. One problem; He didn't think he could run. As he listened to the panicked voice of the fea, it only worried him further. How was he supposed to get away from them with four cut open paws? He looked towards the forest, and could hear the sound of the shot's growing louder. He flattened his ears against his head and looked to the fea. "I'll try..but if I slow down, don't stop, just keep running, ok?" His tone sounded smooth and calm, but on the inside he feared that she wouldn't do that. With that, he bounded off across the beach, occasionally glancing back to see if Akila was following. The rocks were unbearable on his paws, but it was either bare with a moment of pain or a life being lost.
[Finished !]

As the sound of the banging grew louder, closer, Akila kept her eyes on Flint, waiting for him to answer. Her greatest desire was to run, as quick as she could, away from thoses noises, but she couldn't do that. No, she wasn't that kind of wolf. Not the kind that would just leave another to die. Because if they did stay, then they woukd Die. Every wolf knew what the two legged ones wanted, whether it was for their fur, or to be kept as hunting dogs. It was every wolfs nightmare. To be taken from their wild life, the life they truly belonged in, and be broken apart. she wasn't about to let that happen. They needed to get out of here, now.
As another loud bang came from no where, louder, closer this time, Akilas head swiveled from the trees to look at flint. Panick now clear upon her face. She watched as he tried to get up, she could tell it was paining the brute, but he was good at ignoring it. 'Yeah, i'll be fine.' As another loud shot ran through the air, Flint bared his teeth. Whether it was because of the pain, or the noise, Akila didn't know, but she took a wary step back anyway. Then came the big one. The closest one yet. It sounded as though they were just hidden behind the trees, and would burst out onto the beach anytime now.
I'll try..but if I slow down, don't stop, just keep running, ok?" Akila nodded as Flint bounced off, suprisingly quick to say he had messed up paw pads. She snorted to herself, right, sure she would keep running, leave him to die. Like she had said before, she wasn't that kind of wolf. Another shot bought her back to reality, and she too tor off over the beach after him, her paws running hard over the jagged rocks. It didn't hurt, her paw pads were tough, always had been, something to do with where she had lived as a pup.
She couldn't remember much of her puppy hood. She could only faintly remember what her siblings looked like, and had no recall over her mother and fathers looks. As the pictures came rushing back into her head, of the fire, the nosies, the smoke, Akila had too shake her head to wrid it of them. She couldn't start thinging of it now. Not with the danger so close.
As they ran, the shooting grew quiet, as though it has stopped. Akila shifted her head to look behind her, but could see nothing. So she focused on catching up with flint.

As Flint looked back, the she-wolf bounded after him. He tried to keep his mind off the agonizing pain that his torn paws were giving him, but it wasn't much use. It was getting worse each time his paw hit off the rocks. His bloody pawprints were painted onto the rocks. It wasn't like he could just stop and rest a while, he'd just be giving himself a death wish. The humans would surely kill him on the spot. He kept glancing down at his crimson mitts, the blood didn't seem to stop and neither did the pain. Eventually, the gun shots slowly died down to a faint noise, and Akila was easily catching up to him. His paws felt as if they were screaming in defiance to keep running, so he slowed to a stop. His smokey amber voids scanned the surroundings, trying to find anything out of the ordinary or any hint of humans nearby. Nothing. They didn't catch up to them, at least not yet. The timer brute released a sight of relief and managed a smile at the femme. "I think were safe, at least for now."
How long would 'for now' be? The humans might find them, or they could, hopefully, move on to another island. Suddenly, he fought back a growl that threatened to escape him when a sharp pain shot up his legs from his paws. He lifted one up one leg and ran his touge over the wound. The bleeding didn't seem to stop yet. He thought that if he had a good distraction that it would take his mind off of his wound. Looking up to gaze at the beauty in front of him seemed to do the trick rather well. His eyes softened as he looked down at her. "So, what's a pretty little thing like you doing on a place like this?" All this place had givin him so far was a load of bad luck. Not finding anything to eat, making his coat discheveled and messed up, injuring his paws, and now humans were on there tails. The only good thing that happened when he got here was meeting this pristine-white fea. Flint looked down at his paws again to see if anything changed. Nothing. Still blood coming from them, and even his bloody tracks were over the beach. That's when the harsh thought hit him hard. His blood was everywhere. His eyes widened slightly as he realised the outcome that could happen.
The hounds would sniff his blood and follow his tracks.
Damn.. This day had taken the worse for him. Now, he was going to be in for hell, unless.. they humans didn't bring there dogs with them, and didn't see his blood tracks. That's when he heard it. The loud, low echoes began to fill the air, gradually sounding louder and louder. That, was the sound of dogs. "Damnit !" His hackles began to raise as he growled furiously. His paws couldn't take running again, so what was he supposed to do now? Not to mention, he dragged Akila into the danger that lied ahead of her. He couldn't let a bunch of hounds kill such a perfect wolfess! If push came to shove, he'd rather be the one killed than her. He slowly rose to his feet, pain or not, and looked gravely into the eyes of the fea before him. "I'll take care of them while you make a run for it." He smiled faintly, trying not to panic Akila all together. "I'll be fine." That might have been a huge lie. He could barely walk, and he wanted to fight a bunch of merciless dogs! All they aimed for was to seize a wolf to kill and bring back to there master. Flint smirked inwardly at himself. Wounds or not, he wasn't about to let some flea-bitten, pathic dogs get the better of him.
Suddenly, everything went silent. Not a bark filled the air like it did only moments ago. It sent an eerie, omnious feeling through out the air. His auds piveted around on his head, waiting for something to make a move. Snap. His ears swiveled towards the forest as a noise was made. The dogs were lying in wait, but the poor fools were alittle too anxcious to keep still. When it was too much for them, they bursted onto the scene out of the forest, running up to the wolves. Flint swiftly got into an attacking stance, his fur raising on all ends as a thunderous snarl escaped his throat as a warning. He took off for them, doing the best he could to ignore the pain he felt. Five dogs against him, but his pride would never allow giving into them. Not without a fight. He launched himself off his hind legs only to latch his jaws around the leg of the dog. His eyes were set ablaze, tearing and ripping at the flesh of them all. He dared and taunted them with threatening growls to come closer. Only problem was, he knew he couldn't keep this up for too long. He just tried to bide time until the fea went to safety.

White paws hit the ground at a fast pace as Akila tried to catch up with Flint. she saw him look back at her, and then slow to a hault. The guns had stopped, and everything was deadly quiet. As she came to a stop next to him, the fae noticed the blood staines on the floor. He was still bleeding pretty badly, and the running certainly hadn't done him any good. Her ears flicked to any sound, but all she could hear now was Flints breathing. Nothing else. The forest had fallen silent, and the Sea seemed to have stopped making noise.
'I think were safe, at least for now.' She averted her gaze from the trees back towards the Brute, who was smiling at her. Imidietly, Akila had to switch her gaze down slightly, his smile was gorgeous. She smiled quickly, and only looked back up at him when she was satisfied that he was not watching her anymore.
The Brute began to lick his wounds, which, now she had a good view of, were worse than she had thought. the pads of his paws were torn to shreds. That was going to take some time to heal. 'So, what's a pretty little thing like you doing on a place like this?' She thought about this. What was she doing here? It cerainly had been a bad idea. If she hadn't ended up here in the first place, then she wouldn't be in this much danger. Stupid water. She thought to herself, annoyed. "To be honest, i don't realy know. I just ... ended up here ... if you know what i mean." She said, starting to feel bad for her thoughts. If she hadn't ended up here, then flint would be in this situation by himself, and would probably die by himself. Dying alone. That was the worst thing, in Akilas opinion, that could happen to a wolf. Plus, the two of them probably would die. The two legged creaters definatly weren't gone. they had just stopped shooting. They would see them again. There was more danger to come.
'Damnit !' Te sudden anger in his voice caught Akila off gaurd, and she sent a startled gaze to him. What was he-? Oh god. Now she had heard what he was hearing. The sharp yaps thats filled the air. Not as bad as the shootings, but still dangerous. She eyed the trees, searching for any sign of life.
'I'll take care of them while you make a run for it.' Akilas jaw almost dropped. Did he really expect her to run, when he was in such a state?! "What?!" She said, slightly louder than her usual voice. 'I'll be fine.' He was doing it again. Smiling, only reasuringly this time. She looked down again, and stood up, baring her teeth. everything had gone quiet. The barking could not be heard anymore. Then it hit her. The strong scent. they were very close by. The smell was like that of a wolfs, only slightly different. It wasn't as ... wolfish?
Then they came. Crashing and barking out of the trees. They looked quite like wolves too. Only smaller, and more yappy. They were running straight towards the two wolves, snarling viciously. Akila knew the two legged things wouldn't be far behind. This wa sher choice time. Run or fight? Leave the brute, or help him? Leaving was out of the question. It wasn't her sort of thing to do. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. They were running fast, tongues lolling out of their mouths like ... well ... like dogs. Akila snorted, and stood her ground next to Flint, who had also got up.
She heard him snarl, and then everything spead up. He was running at them, and then so was she. The two species clashed, and a vicious fight erupted. The white fae ripped and bit at anyhting she could find, and lifting her head to emitt a long howl, calling for help. Anyone nearby, brave enough to help them out.
OOC ;; Wow, long post xD

Flint noticed a hint of somethin on her face when he smiled at her. Was she being shy? He smile grew as she wouldn't look at him, hiding that beautiful smile of her own. The adored the shy ones; they were always so cute when they tried to hide there true emotions. He tore his eyes away from that pretty little frame to watch the forest. Once she spoke up again to answer his question, he tilted his head slightly. He actually ended up on this.. hell of an island because he wasn't really watching where he was going. He did that from time to time, walking from dawn to dusk and ending up god knows where, and this just happened to be one of those situations.
When those annoying little hybrids came barking and yowling, he somehow heard a 'what' escape from Akila's mouth. He had no time to look back at her now; the dogs were snapping and ripping out his fur. With an enraged snarl, he lunged himself at one of them, sinking his fangs into there throat. The terrible cry that was emitted from the dog made a few others gang up on him. "Well, that's fair," He growled, tearing his fangs across the mutt's neck and latching onto anothers. That's when he saw her. Akila was doing her own share of fighting and snapping at those persistant mutts, then calling out a cry for help. Flint didn't know if there even was anyone close enough to help out, and he knew that if he hadn't hurt himself he would've been able to take care of these dogs. The male ran up to the feas side, his hackles raised in attempt to warn them off. "You didn't have to stay.. you might get hurt." That, was the last thing he wanted. A bunch of hybrids taking her life and bringing her remains back to the humans. Just at that mere thought, his snarls grew louder with his lips coiling back. A few of them backed off abit while the more naive ones charged at him. Flint parted jaws and swung his head around visciously, then propelled himself towards the mutts. He sank his fangs into one of there side, tearing and ripping apart it's flesh. It yelped in agony, and it was soon followed by other cries of pain as Flint grasped onto the others. Crimson was flowing freely down his jaws, staining his already metted fur. Some of the dogs ran off in despair and pain, while a few more stayed behind. Hebacked up abit, ancoring himself in front of Akila in a sort of protective stance. Hopefully, that cry for help would come in handy, because he didn't know how much his burning paws could take it much longer.

Ears flicking back and fourth, searching for a reply to her call, Akila bared her teeth at the dogs. She heard a mutter from flint, but couldn't work out what he had said. she could feel a nasty pain on the heel of her hind paw, and whirled around to see a mutt attatched to it. The Fae lunged at its throut, ripping and tearing as hard as she could. She didn't like killing them, they were closesly related to wolves afterall, but she had to. they were attacking, threatening to kill her and flint. She wasn't going to just sit there waiting for death. No chance.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Flint fighting viciously, tearing the limbs off of the dogs. Blood was splattered across the floor, and the air was thick with the sweet smell. It wouldn't be long before other animals began to become attracted, hopefully, one of those animals would be a wolf, one who would help.
Akila could see the pain in Flints eyes, and when she looked at his paws, they were worse than anything she had ever seen. They were soaked in blood, and the wounds were raw. Very painful.
So glued to watching Flint, was akila, that she didn't see the dog run behind her, and lunge at her neck. The first thing she felt was the searing pain that ripped through her as the dogs teeth sank into her flesh. She shook her body violently, trying to get it off. She twisted her head back and clamped her jaw around its maw, ripping its nsoe completely. The mutt yelped, and let go of her neck, falling to the floor. Before it was able to get up, she lunged at it, ripping its stomach.
The Fae heard Flint snarl loudly, and most of the Dogs backed away. He stood next to her, awaiting the attack.
'You didn't have to stay.. you might get hurt.' "I couldn't leave you, have you seen your paws recently." She said, not looking at him, concentrating on the dogs. Then they came, running, yowling towards them, leaping through the air. The two breeds clashed, ripping at eachother, drawing blood everywhere.
He stood infront of her, baring his teeth more. Then they came again, worse than the dogs, holding the guns in their hands. But their was no shooting this time. Everything was quiet. She couldn't even hear the Sea. "We got to get out of here!" She yelped, spinning around, ignoring the Dogs, who had turned to wait for a command from there masters. Panicking, she twisted around to look at Flint. Where the hell had they come from?! She should have seen them, heard them, smelt them! How was it possible?!
"Flint?" She could hear the panick in her voice as the two legged got closer, but she didn't want to run off, not without him. She knew where they should go, back into the forest where the fog was, but she couldn't leave him here. The Fae knew he wouldn't be up for much running, his paws would slow him down, but wolves were faster than the two legged ones. they could easily outrun them.

'I couldn't leave you, have you seen your paws recently?'
Truthfully, he didn't. He just knew they were bad by the searing pain he felt in them. As he hesitently looked down at them, they were quite an eyesore. The rocks below his tender paws were coated in blood, even tiny bits of his flesh were there. What had he gotten himself into? He gave a quick glance at Akila before watching the mutts cautiously. "You'd be in a worse shape than me if you don't run," His voice didn't sound angry, it almost sounded like he was chiding her to go to safety. Once again, the savage dogs launched themselves at them. Ignoring his painful wounds, a menacing snarl ripped through his throat as he charged at them, biting and clawing at any that came too close. Suddenly, the dogs stopped what they were doing and sat down. Flint came to a hault and looked at them all with a confused face. Why did they stop? They were all looking back into the forest, so Flints eyes were cast in the same direction.
"We got to get out of here!"
Flints eyes widened at the frantic voice of the female, his eyes still searching for what was going on. He didn't see them. His amber pools scanned the forest, trying to figure out what was wrong. Then, he smelled them. There disgusting stench wafted through the air, and the brute finally picked it up. Humans. He didn't even see them, they were so camoflauged! In one swift motion, he swiveled around and darted off after Akila. He could hear her poor panicing voice calling for his name. He tried to quicken up his pace, but he found out the hard way that he couldn't. He pushed himself too far, and this was as fast as he could go with the current condition his paws were in. To make matters worse, he was sure he was slowing down. "I'm here, just don't stop! Keep running!" His own voice was more reassuring than his mind. He didn't know how much longer he could keep this up. The pain was becoming too unbearable, and it was causing him to limp. He looked behind him, just in case the humans were coming. They were all right, but it was still quick enough to outrun them. But for how long? Once he finally caught up with the fea, he stopped. He cringed, feeling the agony of his mitts. He couldn't run anymore. Hell, he didn't know if he could even walk. He took one pawstep forward, and in hurt like hell. The only way he could get out of this was to take slow, careful steps. He looked up at Akila's face, and judging by where she was looking, it was in the forest. There only chance to get away, or at least hide. They could cover up there scents with mudd or dirt to hide from the dogs, and just wait it out until they left. "We need to go in there." Trying to forget about his paws(which was practically impossible now), Flint pressed forwards into the forest, looking back to see if Akila was coming.

As Akila looked around them, she could see the stone was coated in crimson, and littered with dead dogs. As she turned to look at her back, she could see a single, long wound, that had turned her white fur red. But it wasn't causing her much pain, which was good.
As she turned to look at Flint, she could see the pain in his eyes. His paws were completely torn up, and his fur coated in blood. they were going to strugle getting out of this mess.
'You'd be in a worse shape than me if you don't run.' Akila scowled at him. She realy didn't like it when Brutes took on the role of protector, assuming that they had to do all the fighting whilst the Fae ran. It realy bugged her. "I'm perfectly capable of fending off a couple of Mutts." she said, glaring at the dogs, who had now stopped to sit down.
As she stood up to run, she glanced again at his paws. the Fae knew that he wouldn't be able to run for ong, they just needed somewhere safe to hide. Then they could come out when the two legged ones left. All would be well. It was a pity it wouldn't be that easy.
'I'm here, just don't stop! Keep running!' The white she-wolf looked behind her, to see Flint running. She winced at the site of his paws hitting the hard rock. what pain he must be feeling right now. It was almost hard to watch. If they could only find a little hide somewhere. Or ... if she could lead them away.
After a little thinking, and running, she had come up with a plan. they would find somewhere to hide, and then she would leave him there, and lead the hunters away. Sounded good enough to her. She could run, a lot faster than the two legged ones, and the mutts wont be a problem, she could easily get them off of her back. They stopped running for a minute, and flint was almost right behind her. As he came to a hault next to the Fae, she glanced around the scene, spotting the dark woods. That was what they needed, or as good as they would find anyways.
'We need to go in there!' As he trotted off, almost walking painfully, into the trees, Akila stopped behind him for a moment. This was it. They were either about to live through a nasty experiance, or this was their time to die. She watched as the hunters came around the corner of the large boulders, running towards them, their mutts barking and yapping like hell. She turned on her heel, and ran into the trees, loosing complete sight of Flint. Which way had he gone? Damn this was not good!
She took a right turn next to a large Oak, almost tripping over the large roots that were jutting up from the ground. She thought about calling his name, in a desperate attempt to find him, but was too scared. the two legged ones could be right behind her, and that call would alert them where she was.
Stumbling around in fright, Akila set off at different speeds, slowing down now and then to check if something would make a good place to hide. She could hear foot steps behind her, more that one pair. The smell was awful, but not as strong as before. Some of the hunters must have split up to look for Flint.
((Just so you know, if i didn't make it very clear, because my writing isn't brilliant today lol, in the edning part, they got split up, or akila couldn't find him anyway ;P))

Damn it!
The pain was excruciating now, but he couldn't just stop to whine and rest. He needed to keep going, or else he would surely die. Not only that, but that gorgeous fea would probably die as well for being stubborn not to leave him. Yet, he liked that stubborness. And that beautiful coat of hers was so.. Flint snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the alarming sound of more dogs coming.. with humans right behind them. Great. Almost instinctively, he gathered all his strenth to just run one last time, just enough until he found a good hiding spot. He took off into the trees, jumping over stray rocks and roots, his optics scanning the area for some kind of place to hide. Anywhere. Finally, he found a patch of mud. He stepped up to it, dipping his leg into it. What he realised was that it wasn't your average little mudd puddle. No, it was more like a mudd hole. At first, it would appear nothing more than, well, a patch of mudd. To Flint, it was the perfect camoflague. Not only would the mudd mask his scent from those pesky dogs, but the hole was deep enough for him to lie in without being noticed. Without another thought, he practically dove into the mudd, rolling in it to cover his whole body with the slime. He could hear the footsteps and the humans yelling. Of course, he couldn't understand what they said, but all he knew was that they sounded close. At one point, they even ran out right in front of him, there metallic weapons armed and ready in there hands. His ears were pinned back against his skull were his body was submerged into the mudd, and stopped only up to his nose so he could breathe. Once they took off deeper in the forest, he breathed a sigh of relief. Now all he and Akila had to do was-...
Where was Akila?
His head swiveled around, looking to see if the ivory wolfess was nearby. Unfortunatly, she wasn't. He lost her. Flint's heart beat quickened at the thought of her safety. Was she alright? Did the humans find her? The timber bared his fangs in sudden detirmination. He couldn't leave her somewhere in the forest with a herd of dogs on her tail. He knew she told him often enough that she could take care of herself, but somehow, that just wasn't as reasurring to him as he wished it was. Cautiously creeping out of the mudd, he lifted his dial to the skies, sniffing at the air. The two-legged's weren't close to him, but he could smell those mutts nearby.. and her scent. Flint bounded off through the forest, realising that his pads didn't hurt as much. They still pained like hell, but the mudd seemed to dry up, protecting his wounds for now. The timber brute slipped through bushes, hoping that he would find her. He wouldn't rest until he did. Flint may have had the intentions of taking over and ruling all of Kongrai, but if there was trouble concerning a female, he would risk his life for them. Even if he barely knew them. It was just his nature, to be that Romeo-type of wolf.
Finally, after searching for that feminine figure of hers, he spotted it. She looked so frightened, and knew he had to approch her delicately so he wouldn't scare her. If that happened, she could end up making noise, giving off there location to the dogs. "Akila," Her murmered softly, slowly emerging from the bushes with a warm-hearted smile on his face. He was just glad that he found her--alive. He probably looked a complete and utter mess from being bathed in mudd, but at least his scent was masked. Yet, he didn't have any time to lose. He could hear there footsteps coming through the branches, there mutts howling and barking. "I found somewhere to hide, but your going to have to get dirty." He didn't mean it that way, but if he took a look at his coat, then he hoped she'd understand what he mean't. He turned around, cocking his head back to see if she would follow.
[It's fine, it's alot better than mine. ;3]

Panting from all the running, Akila stopped for a minute to gain some energy. She could smell the dogs getting closer, hear them yapping, but she didn't move. The Fae was growing tired now. She moved behind a large tree, to give herself a little more confidence that she was well hidden. Of course, the she-wolf knew her white pelt would stand out against the green and brown of the forest, but hey, once she had gained some more energy, she would be able to run again. Finally feeling able to run, akila leapt out from behind the tree and bounded off again, half running, half jumping in zigzags. Their was one thing that worried her though, she knew that no matter how far she ran, no matter how well she hid. the mutts would always find her. Her scent trail would always lead them straight to her. Damn.
The Fae took a random turn and headed off in a different direction, doing her best not to follow any common trails that had formed on the ground. Akila turned again, running alittle, and then turning back a different direction. This was getting confusing. She could tell she was heading back the way she came, but the more she did that, the more chance she had of finding Flint.
Finally, she stopped, not able to run any further, it would just lead her straight onto their trail. Looking sharply around her, she backed onto a tree, lowering her body into the tall shrubs that surrounded it. All that was leaft to do now was wait. Wait for them to pass, or wait for them to find her. She kept her ears high, searching out the faintest noise that might just save her life. Her dark eyes flicking to the slightest movement. 'Akila.' the word startled her, and the Fae whipped her head round to see who it was. All the energy seemed to rush back into her body, and she sighed in relief. It was Flint. Only, he didn't look like Flint. He was covered in mud. 'I found somewhere to hide, but your going to have to get dirty.' She sent him a questioning look, trying to work out what he meant, but his signals towards his coat told her what he meant. He had rolled, or dived in a mud pool. "what?" She said, glimpsing at her white paws. she didn't mind getting muddy, it was just the cleaning aftrwards she didn't like. It took bloody ages!
[[sorry, had to rush this one. Time for school lol, and that colour of your Flint name realy stands out nicely against the green heehee]]

Judging the expresstion on her face, she wasn't too fond of the idea on getting her umblemished coat full of mud. In a way, he couldn't blame her. A pretty little thing like her shouldn't be rolling in mud, but in situations like these, there wasn't much of a choice. He led her to the mud pool, his auds twisting around on the top of his head on alert for humans. Now wasn't the time to make any mistakes. One false move on a twig or one wrong direction could lead them to there doom. The dogs were still yapping, searching out the forest for any signs of the two. The humans quietly weaved themselves through the bushes, careful to not make any sudden movements if the wolves were around. When they finally got to the mud, Flint breathed out yet another breath of relief. "Here it is," He whispered quietly, stepping into the pool and laying in it. The only thing that seemed visable, due to the fact that his body was submeraged and what wasn't was already coated in mud, was his amber optics and sable nose. He looked up at the fea, loosening a small reasurring smile even though his heart was racing from the shere thought that they could get caught. Suddenly, the scent of humans started to grow stronger. They were coming this way. He glanced up at Akila, hoping she would forget about the mess she would be in later and hide in the mud.
[Finished. Sorry for the shortness. ' And thanks ! ^^]
