Following the Brute through the undergrowth, carefully, making sure not to step on anything, Akila settled at a quiet pace behind Flint. she knew where this was heading. She was going to have to end up getting her White fur all muddy. She didn't mind this part as much, is was, yet again, the fact that after, if they survived, she was going to struggle to get it white again. Oh, what the hell, their was always the Sea, or a nice long river to wash off in. If they survived, that was. "Here it is." The voice made her jump slightly. She had been so caught up in her own thoughts, in the strain to hear the where abouts of the two legged, that any sudden noises, that she had been expecting to hear too much, had made her jump.
They had come across a small mud hole. And boy was it muddy, it was more like slush, to be honest, or very, very sloppy mud. That whiped the smile of realxation off of her maw. She had to go in there?! Flint was already ducking in, submerging himself up to the tip of his nose, so that all she could see were his beautiful eyes. and his nose if she looked close enough. The Faes ears flicked to the noises around her, and the scents were getting clearer, stronger. Shiit.
She cast a glance at the trees, her ears pinned back against her head. They realy were coming, weren't they. If she didn't get in there, she was dead. Flint would get away, he could hide, atleast he wouldn't die. She took a step forward, missing a large stick by inches, her heart was racing. Akila walked forward again, watching the mud, watching Flint. Casting another glance at the trees, the scent was getting closer, and closer. The sound of the dogs yapping died down. They had caught her scent!
Without any second though, she stepped into the mud, submerging her paw completely, turning her Sleek white fur to Soggy Browness. It wasn't so bad actualy, sort of relaxing, the feeling of it against her skin. She ducked her whole body into the mud hole. "their coming." she whispered. Duh.

His amber optics gazed intently at the fea's expression. She really didn't want to get in, and he just had to smile at her for being so cute and adorable.. who would want to blemish such a beautiful, alabaster coat? He could just imagine how different she would look if she decided to get in the mud. In fact, he couldn't wait to see how much of a beast he looked. Then, a painful reminder hit him when he felt his paws once again. He hid it well though, seeing that he pained expression was hidden in the mud. He was lucky enough to just lie down in this slop, for if he kept running--well, he probably wouldn't have any pads on his paws anymore. Suddenly, he could hear the dogs barking coming closer, yet they were dying down. Probably because of 'masters orders'. The problem was, Akila didn't get in yet. She took her time, taking a few steps forward every now and then, but Flint knew if she didn't get in soon, the both of them could face there fate.
Once she finally submeraged herself into the mess, Flint could feel a hint of relief.. and the feeling of having her so close. Even in times like this, he was thinking of things like that. He pushed those thoughts aside as he heard her whisper. He glanced over at the now brown Akila and nodded faintly before steadying himself for the humans. If they got too close or caught them, he was prepared to attack. But how long were they willing to stay, just to get a couple of hides? A few minutes? Hours? The rest of the day? He didn't know they answer, but the sooner the better. He could hear paws hitting off the earth not far from where they layed, along with the pants of those tired mutts. Then, he could hear the faint sound of human footprints, making him move alittle closer to Akila, his fur bristling at there faint whispers. They were coming right towards them, the sound of dogs sniffing could even be heard. One human even stepped slowly out in front of them, blind to the hiding canines before him. It was like the only thing Flint could hear at that very moment, was the deafening sound of his heartbeat. Everything seemed to go in slow motion for him, the sight of that flat-faced thing so close to him and Akila, a gun ready in his hands, and finally two dogs sniffing at his feet. He stayed motionless. He couldn't move if he wanted to. Not because of being scared for his life, but for the life next to him. If she made a move, the hiding spot would do them no good, and they would surely die. The oblivious dogs in front of him finally gave in to the ache of there legs from running so much, whimpering softly at there master. The man looked down at themgroaned, muttering something in there own touge. Flint couldn't understand his language, but he knew by the look of him that he wasn't particualy happy. He looked all around him. Into the trees, the bushes, and then, straight into the mudd behind him. Flint closed his eyes half-ways, so they wouldn't be noticed. All he could do was lay there, hoping that both of them would get out of this alive.

Not even seconds after Akila had managed to completely submerge herself in the mud, did one of the two legged ones step out of the darkness of the trees. Oh, god. Had he seen her? Had he been there the whole time whilst the two wolves had been venturing into the mud hole, biding his time, waiting until they were unable to escape, to then give his mutts the order, and kill the both? The Fae squinted her eyes shut, standing as still as she could, trying with all her will power to make the two leggeds leave. But to no avail, they stayed.
Their were more of them now, and dogs too. They sniffed around for bit, getting more and more confused as the scent just stopped with no warning. they sat down patheticly, whining and looking up at their masters with apologies in their eyes. How any creature could work with those hunters, Akila did not know, and didn't like to think. The femme opened her left eye by a fraction, daring to look for what was going on. The "human" was taking a look around, apparently convinced that the wolves were still here. He shone a light coming from a dark tubey thing into the shadows, looking for the glints of their eyes.
As the two legged changed direction, and shone the light directly onto the mud, akila, shutting her eyes quickly, stiffened up again. Her heart was beating up hard against her rib cage. What if they could hear it? She didn't know what the hearing strength of their ears were. Oh god!
The "human" inspected the mud hole for what seemed like two years, but then finally moved off, calling for the others, and the mutts, to follow him. The dogs bounded off, yapping, tails wagging, and occationaly stopping to sniff the air for scents. One dog, a particularly large one, seemed very interested in the mud, which Akila and Flint were hiding under, and Akila could have sworn it had seen them. A sudden thought crossed her mind, would it work though? She had a real urge to jump out of the mud and kill that dog! How could it obey the humans like that? Kill other innocent animals for fun? Take a life, just because that life had gotten in their way, had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. The very wrong time. But then again, this reminded her of someone. Herself. She'd done that before, all wolves had. Killed another animal, because it was there. No other reason, just because she was angry, or upset, or just generally wanted to hurt something.
Suddenly, the dog lifted its head into the air, and let out a long, eerie howl. The sound of feet pounding against the ground, getting louder and louder, closer and closer. The mutt had seen them! He had called to the humans! Told them where they were.

Flint could have growled when the man shone the bright light in his face. He shut his eyes, hoping, praying that he wouldn't be seen. The dogs sat at there owners feet, inspecting the mud to see anything suspecious. After about what seemed to be an eternity, the human flicked his light in another direction and headed off, his dogs in tow. Finally, they were gone! Flint opened his eyes alittle once he could hear the sound of there feet go quieter as they moved off. He was just about to whisper something to Akila, when another dog went sniffing about near them. He seemed to have a pretty keen scent, because every second, he was edging closer and closer towards the mud hole. No.. This wasn't happening. They just had a close call with the human, and now this? Flint could tell that he had there scent, that he was coming closer to his prize, and that it was only a matter of seconds before he sounded the alarm to the rest of the group. And yet, he stayed put. He had to hang onto that last string of hope that the dog would miraculously lose there scent and run somewhere else. Unfortunatly, like his whole day turned out so far, luck was not on his side. The dog swung back his head and sounded the alarm with a long howl, a noise to tell the others that he had found them.
Flint was dumbstruck. What the hell were they going to do now? Run, and seek out another hiding spot? There was no way that could work for too long! His paws were damaged, and running wasn't something he could really do right now. Fighting them off seemed like a good idea, if there were five more wolves and no guns or other weapons involved. Still, he couldn't just give in to them. There was no way he was going to die, at least not yet. So without anymore delay, he lunged out of the mudd and latched his jaws around the mutts throat, jerking his head back to snap it's windpipe before it could even finish his howl. The dogs body writhed for about a moment before falling limp onto the ground. The timber brute turned around to look at Akila--or what looked like her. It was hard to tell from all the slop that covered her. "We need to get away from them.." Great idea, genius. How where they going to escape them? They were covered in mud so that there scent would be covered, but if they spotted them, or if his paws began to bleed to make a scent trail, they were done for. But what else could they do? Wait for death to come? Not likely. He was going to try and get the both of them out of this. If it wasn't for him, then Akila wouldn't have to be with him and face this. She wouldn't be in this danger if he just convinced her to run. The sound of dogs where becoming more apparent now, and if they didn't start running now.. Then, an idea came to him. What if they somehow make the group alittle bit smaller? If anything came in close enough range, they could hide and make a surprise attack by going in for the kill. The only thing is, it would only work if there was only one or two close enough, and it was a dog. If it was a human, then they would surely use there weapons on them. If they could just take out most, or even if they could, all the dogs, then the humans wouldn't be able to find them. "I have somewhat of an idea, just follow me."Flint gestured his head for them to run before he ran off into the forest. His paws weren't going to hold up and he knew that, but if this stratigy worked, then he would be able to rest later.
Once he came to a secluded enough spot, he stopped and waited for Akila to catch up. While he waited, his head filled with words of dought. What if this plan fails? What will we do then? What if they catch us? Once again, his questions remained unanswered.. for now. As of now, his paws weren't bleeding yet, so he layed low in the bushes. The hunting group seemed alittle ways off now, so this spot could spare them some time. His body tensed up as he waited for the female to appear.

The mutt was getting closer and closer to the mud hole, his eyes sparkling with pride. Obviously someone was happy that he had ratted them in. Although he had caught their scent, the dog still seemed confused. He knew they were there, but just couldn't see them anywhere. Akila had to smirk at that, how thick could you get? Suddenly, without warning, their was a comotion next to her. Sloppy mud was splatted about as Flint leapt from the hole and lunged at the mutt, getting a firm grip around his throut and snapping his windpipe. It didn't take long before the dog was hanging limp from the Brutes jaws.
The Fae stretched her legs out of the crouching position she had held for so long now, padding out of the hole as if nothing was wrong, and sending mud all over the floor. She resisted the urge to shake her body, wrid herself of the discusting slop that was clinging to her fur. That very slop could well save her life later. 'We need to get away from them..' Akila heard Flint say, his maw dripping with blood. Would the dogs follow that? Or just assume that it was from the fight before? Mind, they were pretty stupid animals, compared to the wildlife that lives here. Even if the humans did think them intelligent, they clearly hadn't seen clever.
It was foggy again, something Akila hadn't noticed before, but she didn't pay too much attention. She was busy concentrating on the shadows. The sounds were getting clearer, the smell was getting stronger as the humans got closer. Any minute now yappy mutts were going to explode out of the trees, closely followed by their hunter friends. And they were just stood there! Like live bloody bait! What were they going to do?! She looked at Flint, who was concentrating on something. After a couple of seconds, his face lit up, or, brightened up enough to see through the mud slightly.
'I have somewhat of an idea, just follow me.' Before she had time to ask him what this idea was, he was off, bounding over the undergrowth, dodging the sticky up roots stealthily, looking asthough he had completely forgotten about his shreaded up paws. akila winced as they hit the ground hard, over and over again. How long untill they began to drench the ground in blood? All he needed to do was rince them off in the sea, that would help, it would sting, but it would make healing easier. The sound of the yapping brought her back down to earth, and she raced off after him, not quite as good at avoiding jutty up roots as he had been.
After a bit of running, she caught up with him, in a small clearing surrounded with thick bush. "So ... whats this master plan of your?" She said with a grin, sitting down infront of him.

Flint layed in the foliage, anxiety begining to overcome him. He didn't see Akila come yet. Did they get her? Did they kill her? He should have waited for her! Then, her slender figure appeared in front of him to rid him of those thoughts. All of this running around and going in near-death situations made him on edge. The thought that at any moment, they could be shot, dragged mercilessly away, and skinned for there fur. As much as he didn't like to admit it, it kind of scared him. Besides, who wouldn't be just a tad bit terrified knowing that? He eased up slightly as she sat in front of him, and walked up to her. He managed to loosen up a lop-sided grin at her comment. "Well, my 'master plan' is that we could lure a couple of dogs at a time our way, and kill them." He knew himself that it would be a long and tedious job to do, but what else could they do? Running would only prove to slow him down with those paws of his, and the possibility that they could get caught running around was high. At least if they layed low for a bit, killed some dogs, find a new hiding spot, and continue on with that routine, the humans would have no dogs left at all. "If one of us kills one, we should move to another hiding spot, just in case one of them hears a comotion." It wasn't exactly the best of plans, but once again, it was the best he could think of and that there wasn't much else to do in such a condition. He looked into those dazzling eyes of hers and smiled lightly. "So, you think you can handle it?" That that he had any doughts. She had already proved to him that she was a tough little wolf fighting those dogs back at the beach.
Just as he had thought, his auds pricked to the side as he heard one of those mutts sniffing about for there scent. Gesturing his head to let her know one was there, he slowly crept to the edge of the bushes, just enough so he could see his target and get into an attacking stance. As his ambers peered out of there hidding place, he noticed that there was not only one of them, but another shepard there as well. How many dogs were there? Flint wasn't sure, but he did know that the less there were, the easier it would be to escape. One of the dogs circled around to the back of there little hideout, sticking his nose into the bushes. They obviously caught a hint of there scent, despite the mud they were covered in. He turned his head slightly to the side, looking at the fea through the corner of his eye. "I'll take the one on back." His velvety voice whispered before he sneaked closer to the other dog. He pawsteps remained almost silent, tredding softly and carefully, trying not to alarm the dog to hear him. Fortunatly, it worked. The shepard just kept sniffing about, thinking that it was on to something. It was, but not for long. Without much noise, the wolf leaped out of the bushes and snapped his jaws around the dogs neck, applying a forceful amount of pressure onto it. The canine didn't even have enough time, or the air, to make a call for help. It struggled for a minute, but it's body soon became limp. Flint gently layed the lifeless body onto the ground, thinking that maybe his luck had returned.. until another dogs bark became apparent to him.
He jerked his head around to see a large black dog growling savagely at him. Or maybe not. Once again making no noise, he ran at the dog, colliding head-first into his side to knock him over. A breathless squek was emitted from the dog as he fell to the ground, but soon got up to chomp his teeth down onto the timber's shoulder. Flint tried not to make a commotion, but a faint growl escaped his lips. Baring his own teeth, he lunged at the mutt of choke him. He got a successful grip on him, but not without a fight. This particular dog was't going to go down without a fight, and thrashed about under the wolf, trying to get him off to get air. Flint was detirmined to take him down, and eventually, the dogs movements became less apparent, and slowed to a hault. He finally gave in to death and slumped to the ground. Not taking a moment to lose, he bolted off for Akila, hoping she got the job done so they could get a new spot to hide for a bit.

'Well, my 'master plan' is that we could lure a couple of dogs at a time our way, and kill them, If one of us kills one, we should move to another hiding spot, just in case one of them hears a comotion.' Akila caught up with the Brute, amazed at the speed he seemed to be able to run, even though his paws were completely demolished. She grinned at his 'master plan', it sounded like fun, getting back at the mutts for trying to kill them, what was a day without a few killings? Jesus, she sounded like a serial murderer, well, it was in a wolf nature. Defending herself and all that.
'So, you think you can handle it?' She cocked her head to the side, her ears up and alert, ready to take action. "Sure." She said happily, alot of the fear gone with the knew idea of a chase and a good fight. The only question was, could he handle it? those paws weren't going to hold up forever. "Do you think YOU can handle it?" She said, with a flirtatious grin. Even now, when they were being hunted down by murderous humans, she couldn't help herself.
Without any sounds of warnings, the scent of mutt became apparent, and akila spotted a couple sniffing around, one getting slightly too close to the bush they were hiding in for comfort. Flint was already on it, and before she had chance to speak, the Dog hung limply from his jaws. She wasn't going to waste time, so she trotted off into another direction, in search of more dogs. They all seemed to travel in little packs, just like their cousins, the wolves, led by what appeared to be a mini Alpha. If the higher ranks of the little groups were taken down, then would it be easier, as the mutts wouldn't have anyone giving them orders, etc? Would they get confused, as a wolf would, without someone telling them what to do? If these canines had been trained to follow the leader, then perhaps her best option was to destroy the Alpha? 'Worth a shot..' She muttered to herself, shrugging.
The Fae singled out what looked to be the leader. The biggest of the dogs, the one that seemed to have more authority then the others. If it had been any taller, it could easily have been mistaken for a small wolf, they looked so much like herself, Flint, the other wolves she had known during her life, only dummer. Forget that. She couldn't let herself get weakened by the fact they were so alike, couldn't let the idea of killing another wolf get in her way. Sure, wolves fought between themselves, but they didn't usualy actualy kill each other, why should this be any different? Determined not to let that fact disturb her, she shrunk herself lower to the ground, stalking towards the mutt. Careful not to be spotted by the other three dogs, she lunged at the supposed alpha, getting a grasp on his neck, and with a firm clamp, breaking his windpipe. She dropped him, letting him writhe around for a moment or two as his body nerves died out. Looking up, two of the other canines had seen what had happens, and were now advancing, growling and snarling at her. The other mutt turned to see what the comotion was, and at the sight of the dead 'Alpha', change tactics to follow his group mates. But Akila had seen that flick of panic that had run through his eyes, and it only reminded her of the similarities. They felt the same emotions that she did, they would live as she did. If they hadn't been born into that particular group, then there was a good chance they would live wild, as one of the creatures the wolves had to share the Islands with.
She curled her lip behind her teeth, trying to forget all she had just thought about, and stood there, snarling, as the three dogs walked towards her cautiously. they would attack, she knew they would eventualy, but they also wouldn't want to advance without a leader. And as she had suspected, one of the dogs lifed his head to emitt a call for help. Akila saw her chance, and she took it, leaping at the dogs throut, but not quite quick enough, the other two dogs got to her first, and the three animals collided in mid air, ripping and tearing at each others flesh.
(( Sorry about the long wait :S ))

'Do you think YOU can handle it?'
Flint optics instantly shifted over to her pretty little face, covered by that flirty grin. Was she actually flirting with him, or was he, yet again, falling for such a beautiful wolf? The male raised an eyebrow and smiled back. "Hmm.. I think I'll manage," He replied in a smooth tone. Even when he was in such a horrible situation, he couldn't help but try to charm a femme. It was just his nature. Besides, what brute in there right mind wouldn't want to charm Akila? She looked perfect with that pristine, alabaster coat of hers, and not to mention she was so.. Damn it. Already he was drifting off into space while they were in such danger. He pushed aside his thoughts, at least for now, and refocused onto her--.. or the dogs. Leave it to Flint to try to think straight after he listens to sweet, bell-tone of a fea.
After killing the mutt around back, he took off for her scent. That's when he noticed that there was also the smell of a dog.. no, two dogs. A howl was soon heard by one of them, no doubt a cry for help. Baring his teeth, he stalked through the trees towards them. All he hoped for was for Akila to be alright. As he advanced, he could see swift movement up ahead. As his pace quickened, he noticed one of them was her.. and the other two were dogs attacking her. He couldn't help but ignore his agonising paws once more and dash right for one of the dogs. Emitting a loud snarl, he made it's head turn, but not quick enough for him to react. He tackled the mutt with full force, sending them both to the ground in an raged frenzy. Both of the canines jaws were parted, grasping onto whatever flesh they could get at. Flint swiped his claws into the mutts side, making him yelp with the sudden sting of pain. He instantly saw his chance, and went in for the throat. He needed to 'take care of him' as quickly as possibly, knowing that he made alot of noise that might attract other humans or dogs to come. Unfortunatly, this dog wasn't so co-operative. He trashed and snapped his jaws under the weight of the wolf's body, trying desperatly to get away. Flint wasn't about to let go. If he did, then the dog was bound to run off and lead others towards them. With that in mind, he applied more and more pressure with his jaws on the mutt's neck, the fangs edging deeper and deeper into his flesh. When the canine's movements began to slow down, he swiftly jerked his head to the side, snapping his neck to end it's life. The brute dropped it's body to the ground and went next to Akila. "I thought you said you could handle it?" He teased, his eyes occasionally glancing over at the other dog.

; ; A K I L A ; ; Lips curled back over her gum, Akila snarled at the approaching dog, preparing herself for an attack. She would just charge at them, aiming to get a grip on the bigger ones throut, and snap its neck. Then she would turn on the weaker looking one, and kill that one. Seemed easy enough. Two small mutts were no match for a wolf. She leapt at them both, but misjudged the force of her jump, landing to far behind them. She managed to create a large gash on the back of the smaller dog as she swiped it from the air, but could not do anything as she landed with a thud, tumbling over onto the floor.
Knowing the danger she was in if she stayed on the ground for too long, Akila rolled onto her paws, standing in a defencive stance, her teeth bared. She prepared herself to lunge at the dogs again, paying attention to the force she would put behind the leap, when a loud snarl caught her attention. Flint charged out of the surrounding trees, launching himself at the bigger of the two dogs, and getting himself tangled into a verotious fight. The bigger dog put up alot more of a struggle than the others had, ripping and tearing at any flesh it could reach, but, eventually, Flint won over, and the dog fell limp from his jaws.
'I thought you said you could handle it?' The Brute had moved over to her side, but she didn't look at him. Her eyes were locked on the smaller mutt, who was looking slightly less cocky now that its fellow pack member had been taken down, and numbers had turned against it. "I was getting round to it, but then you came." She said in defence, not quite able to keep the hint of a smile off her maw. She watched the dog take a couple of steps back, its fangs still glinting in the sun as it snareld at the two wolves. She waited for it to lift its head, as she knew it would, to make another call for help, before charging at it, teeth sinking into the flesh of its throut. The mutt thrashed around and yelped, scraping its claws against her, but gradually grew quieter and quieter as the ability to breath ebbed away.
Finally, it became completely limp, and she dropped it on the floor with a satisfying thump. Their wa sno time to hang around, and exchange stories though, because the answering calls of other dogs echoes through the air, and the strong smell of mutt mixed in with the scent of blood. Akila cast a glance at Flint, her eyes trailing down to his shredded up paws, that now looked like raw meat slashed with butchered chicken, only without the feathers. They must be realy painful. If only they could get to the other Island, the main big one, then they would finally safe again. About bloody time too. Now, how to get there was the only problem.
The fae sent a quick 'lets go' look at Flint, and then ran from the spot, into the trees. She didn't turn to see if he was following, because odds were he probably was. He wasn't stupid. He would know that hanging around there meant certain doom and gloom. Or death at least. She kept running until the trees started to thoin out, and the leafy ground turned to sand. The shore line. "Your paws aren't going to hold on much longer if we don't get out of here quick. You don't happen to know the way off the Island, so you?" She asked, casting a glance into the forest every now and again. The only problem with this place, was it was so foggy in there, so they wouldn't be able to see the two legged or the mutts coming. Damn.

Flint shifted his gaze momentarily as her heard Akila's bell-like tone sounding slightly defensive. Still.. was that a smile he saw? He couldn't look at it for long, re-directing his attention back to the dog. As much as he wanted to stare at her beauty.. for hours on end- they were still in this situation. Which reminded him of that repeating question: How were they getting out of this? He looked to Akila, who was now taking down the other dog. The mutt writhed with it's decreasing life, trying with all it's might to escape her grasp. Flint wasn't going to step into this one, knowing fully well that Akila might tell him something like, "I can handle it myself". Besides, his paws burned so much in agony that he thought he couldn't even walk towards her. Eventually, he wouldn't be able to force himself to take another step, and then what? Stay put and wait for the humans to get him? He couldn't.. but he knew that he was just putting more damage onto his paws.
He came out of his thoughts when he heard the now deceased dog drop to the forest floor, motionless and bloody. Another mutt down, god only knows how many to go. He looked over to the femme, who was staring down at the bloody state his paws were in. He knew it was bad and that he should stop to prevent further damage, but then how the hell would he get out of this alive? He had no other choice but to keep moving. "I'll be fine," He finally spoke, trying to put on a re-assuring smile. Yet, there wasn't much use. He himself wasn't even sure if his paws would ever heal. Once Akila gestured him to move on, she took off like a bullet. He braced himself for the pain that was sure to come, and took off behind her. As soon as he made that first step, it felt like he was running through an island of razor blades. Ever little rock, twig and tree root killed his feet. But this was his only option. Run, or be killed.
As they went on, the trees appeared less and less, and eventualy, he found himself on the sandy back of the small island. Finally, he could stop for abit! He flopped down to his stomach and stretched out his paws in some relief. They throbbed relentless in pain, but at least he wasn't on them now. His optics looked up at Akila when she asked if he knew his way off the island. It seemed that there only option now was to run since they took out some of the dogs. He pondered it for a moment, thinking back to how he got on this island in the first place. All he did was walk along the sandy beach on Kongrai and happened to see another island a short distance away. Sure, he had to swim to it, but it really didn't tae that long. Probably just a few minutes. Still.. just the thought of getting up to run again made his legs ache. "If we stick to the beach, we should see the other island, but at some point were going to have to swim to it." This just happened to be his lucky day, wasn't it? Tearing up his paws, running into dogs and detirmined hunters, and now trying to get off this stupid island to escape. Heaving a sigh, he forced himself upon four legs once more. There was only so long that the humans would realise they were on the beach, and they would come to hunt them down. Giving a nod, he bounded down the beach, occaionally looking out in the distance for Kongrai Island. He wasn't going to fast thanks to his wounds, but he hoped that it would be enough to get himself and Akila away.

A K I L A ; ; Stopping suddenly in her dash towards the beach, Akila glanced in the way she had just come from, just to make sure Flint was still following. Once she caught sight of him, running hard on those messed up paws of his, she turned her head, and bounded off. It didn't take long for the trees to thin out, for the leaves on the ground to turn to sand, for the sound of the sea to fill their ears. They'd made it onto the beach safely. That wasn't going to last long though. The Dogs couldn't be far behind them. Akila stopped and turned to the Brute, waiting for an answer to her question.
'If we stick to the beach, we should see the other island, but at some point were going to have to swim to it.' Okay, easy enough, right? Wrong. Swim? In the water? Oh jeez. This wasn't good. She could swim alright, but only for a little while. The act seemed to take up alot of her energy for some reason. Plus she didn't even know where this other Island was. But, stick to the beach. Run round this godforsaken place. It would come into view eventualy. She sat next to him as he flopped onto the ground, taking the weight off of the bloodied up paws, eyes glued to the trees. Any second now and the humans could come bursting out of the forest, shooting their barrels in all directions. If that were to happen, they were both dead.
Thankfully, flint stood up again, with a nod, he was off, racing away over the sand. Akila followed, catching up with him, and then running slightly behind to his side, letting him lead the way. Afterall, she had no clue where they were going from here onwards. No clue at all. After what seemed like years of running, another Island came into view off shore. It was notably bigger than this one, and alot clearer, with no excess mist or fog. Was this one the main Island? The human free one? Oh god, how she so hoped so. The two wolves continued to run until they got to a point where they were directly opposit the beach of the other Island. It was quite a way off, but reachable. Akila skidded to a hault, mind drifting into the stories of the four packs, searching for any detail that would give away this Islands identity. Xyla lands ... Exousia lands ... liazo ... and the the Skyla. She knew the stroied well of course, every wolf knew them. Of a small Island that was close to paradise. How a large family had split into four packs. The raging wars. The magic. Everything. hmmm. "Is this the one?" She asked, panting slightly becasue she was sout of breath from so much damn running. The only question now ... would they be able to reach it before the Humans arrived here?
