Delicate paws carried Eyolf through the charred remains of what used to be a lush forest, full of life, with a heavy heart. Large ears strained to hear the small sounds that signified life. A simple breaking twig, a fluttering of leaves that she didn't make, something alive. Eyolf came to a small hill that was mostly free of the ash due to wind and sat. She surveyed the area around herself and sighed quietly. A small bowing of her head was accompanied by a whisper, "I'll find something. I know it..."
The small she-wolf stood again, stretching each of her legs, and set off again, stopping to sniff the occasional charred tree trunk until she found it. It was small, it was struggling, but it was green. Eyolf pranced about the damp tree in delight, stopping only once she realized how ridiculous she probably looked. I've got to stop that sometime...Being ridiculous is not on my agenda.... A rarely seen smile still graced her maw, though, as she pressed her nose to the light layering of moss on the fallen tree trunk. It smelled fresh, and it gave her more energy than she had had in a while. Something is growing. The forest will grow back, even if it does take a while... Eyolf was jubilant as she settled herself down to nap next to the tree before heading back to the more lush areas of the Xyla territory. Just a few minutes, she thought to herself, as she let herself drift into a light but comfortable sleep.

Kishi sat and watched her Beta for a minute, studying what she was doing, before speaking. Eyolf. Haven't seen you for a while. She smiled at the Fae, who seemed to be very interested in a burnt bit of wood. Anxious, she trotted over to take a look herself, and saw what the wolf was getting exited about. The forest was beginning to grow back. out of the Blue, a scent filled her nose. It was a strange scent, but was also slightly recognizable, Eyolf had clearly caught it too.
Would you come with me? This could mean trouble. Yes, she had worked out who the scent most likely belonged to. Karns brother. This worried Kishi, for she knew that the Alpha and his brother had been enemies for a while now, and him being here could turn nasty.
